At the end of the lesson students should be able to;
 Skim to determine key ideas and author’s purpose;
 Make a connection between the present text and previously read text using Venn diagram;
 Show the value of greatness by answering questions.

Awards: United State Poet Laureate
Died: July 16, 1995

Students will answer the guide questions

1. What distinct quality of those who are great does the persona mention in the first stanza?
2. Based on the second stanza, what should not be forgotten?
3. What legacy do great people leave behind them?

Each group will make connection between the present texts and previously read using Venn diagram.
