Equilibrium Diagram is different from that given by [Hansen] and [Metals


Handbook].
The complete Mg-Mn e q u i l i b r i u m diagram has not
been determined, except for the Mg-rich region (0 to Liquidus. [43Gro], [50Sch], and [57Pet] determined the
3.7 at.% Mn). [27Ruh], [31Schl], [31Sch2], [35Saw], (Mg) liquidus temperatures by thermal analysis and
[37Got], [43Gro], [44Bee], [45Tin], [48Sie], [50Sch], showed that the liquidus curve, starting at the melting
[57Pet], [58Chu], and [64Dri] investigated the Mg-rich point of pure Mg, ascends with increasing Mn to the peri-
