SINGING CONTEST
MECHANICS

1. The contest is open to all PAMULUAN Fire trainees

2. Each company can send in only one (1) contestant (either male or female) for solo and
Doble kara category and atleast 3 to 4 contestants for Acoustic category (either male
or female).
A. Solo
B. Doble Kara
C. Acoustic
Contestant in Solo category can join in Doble Kara and
Acoustic.
3. Each contestant has the chance to choose any song of his/her choice.
4. In Acoustic category, Pamuluan class song must be sang after the first selected song.
5. Guidelines for participants and audience:
a. Contestant can choose their own attire.
b. Props (body or hand) are allowed for use.
c. Official microphones/lapels provided by the committee shall be used.
d. Audience ( especially the trainee ) must refrain from coaching to avoid deduction.
e. Audience must refrain from applause until all participants are done.
6. Criteria for judging
 Voice Quality 50%
(vocal intonation and projection, accuracy of pitch,
tone,color)
 Diction, Timing and Dynamics 15%
(color of vowels, proper emphasis or accent on the words, softness and
loudness, rhythm)
 Musicality 10%
(appropriateness of the chosen song to the voice of the singer and
his/her style)
 Breathing and Phrasing 10%
(correct cutting of lines, legato,
staccato)
 Interpretation and Stage Presence
15%
(facial expression, proper focus and attire)
Total 100 %
7. Each contestant shall be given a number to determine the sequence of performance.
8. Winners shall be ranked 1st, 2nd and 3rd respectively and shall receive
 cash price.
9. All contestants must be registered and must present a contest pass to the Contest In-
charge.

MR. & MS. PAMULUAN 2019
1. Each round the candidate will be judged in the given Criteria.
2. The candidate who garners the highest points/scores per exposure will be receiving the
corresponding minor award.
3. The TOP 3 candidates who garner the highest accumulated score in all the exposures will
be moving to the Final Round, the Final Q & A.
4. To determine the winners, the TOP 3 candidates will be judged in the following standard:
60 pts. (Brain) and 40 pts. (Beauty).
5. The candidate who garners the highest points will be declared the winner.
6. The decision of the judges is Final and Irrevocable.
