Making an indoor flower garden is relatively easy with even the most basics of

space. When you decide to make an indoor flower garden, here are some factors to
consider:
• Consider the area –your indoor garden will have to be successful in
a modified environment where light is reduced, wind and rains are
controlled therefore, the choice plants are one that can survive such.
Some plants can manage partial shading so consider which plants go
the area that receive some sun during the day and which can thrive in
complete shade.
• Avoid over watering – while every plant needs to be watered, when
placed indoors, they can suffer from over-watering. Select plants that can
put up with poor drainage or those that grow in water. You may also opt
for air plants instead. However, don’t let the drainage issues limit your
choices of plants if you can resolve the water drainage part.
• Choose the plant’s growth traits – some plants that produce really pretty
flowers may not be suited grown indoors, no matter how you like them.
So choose the varieties that are okay even when grown indoors such as
creepers or climbers instead of those that would require trellis.

• Maintenance – how the plants will be taken care for may mean costs for
you. Some plants necessitate regular pest and disease control while some
thrive with the simplest of tending. Choose whatever your commitment
is willing to take.

Snake plants and spider plants are some of the low maintenance variety. They don’t
require direct sunlight and need to be watered every 3 weeks. For pretty little flowers
ideal for windows are Shamrocks or miniature roses which produce flower any given
time of the year. Another attractive variety is the polka dot plants.

Your success in growing an indoor flower garden will depend on your commitment
and your basic knowledge added with experience. A little research will not hurt but
instead will help you produce the garden you want. Some plants will just not prosper
indoors even with the most delicate treatment you can provide but you will soon
learn how to become an expert in your own way. Soon, you will be enjoying a garden
