Briones. 2. The activity aims to provide a venue to gather music performing public and private school choirs to showcase their prowess in music and the arts thus, promoting empowerment through musical excellence by forging friendship and cooperation among the participants. 3. Relative to Region Memorandum No. 337, s. 2018 entitled “Higalaay Choral Festival Season 2,” Department of Education Regional Office 10, through the Curriculum Learning Management Division (CLMD}, is inviting the Public and Private School Choirs to join the “A Thousand Voices Choir” on August 21, 2018, 6:00 p.m., at the Activity Center, Ayala Centrio Mall (final venue for the Higalaay Choral Festival), Corrales Avenue, Cagayan de Oro City, with the special participation of the Manila Concert Choir and DepEd Secretary Leonor M. Briones. 2. The activity aims to provide a venue for DepEd personnel and private school choirs to showcase their prowess in music and the arts and promote empowerment through musical excellence by forging friendship and cooperation among the participants. 3. All schools division choral groups joining the Higalaay Choral Competition are automatically part of the Thousand Voices Choir while the private school choral groups who wish to join the Thousand Voices shall accomplish the online registration at deped.in/rlOhigalaay on or before July 25, 2018. 4. To meet the target number of participants for the Thousand Voices Choir, the SDSs, ASDSs, EPSs, and school principals are enjoined to participate with their division choral groups to sing the Handel's Hallelujah and How Great Thou Art during the finale. 4. Rehearsals of the participants shall be subject to the no-disruption of classes policy as stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled Instituting Measures to increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith. 5. Travel, accommodation, and other expenses of the participants are charged to cultural funds or any other available local funds, subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations. __ The LEARNER: The heart of DepEd Region X.
