One Starry Christmas Night …….

On one starry Christmas night, I woke

up from my bed and stared out the
window.
It was a very special night which is
Christmas Eve, and so I was waiting for
Father Christmas to come.
I really wanted to meet him, but every
time I tried I would fall asleep.
And yet I heard a jingling sound far,
far away.
I had always knew that Father
Christmas is busy, but I wished he could
have his time to talk with me.

1
Some times in my dreams, I see
reindeer and Father Christmas.
Everyone thinks that Father Christmas
is a person who wears hats and santa
clothes and gives gifts to your parents to
put it under the Christmas tree when
everyone is asleep.
Anyhow I believe that it is true and the
jingling bells are coming from Santa’s
sleigh.
And yet it was because I saw reindeer
in the sky pulling a sleigh.

Can He Really Be Father
Christmas?

I was so shocked that I nearly fainted.

It was Father Christmas!
Was he real?
Yep, it was the real Santa on my
chimney.
He had a large red bag with presents
and a sleigh.
There were also reindeer, Leroy,
Fireball, Pablo, Olive, Clarice, Dasher,
Prancer, Vixen, Cupid, Comet, Rudolf,
Donner, Blitzen and Dancer.

4
I ran out to meet them.
I was so thrilled that I ran outside the
door inside my pyjamas.
But actually, when I opened the door,
Santa and I were both so surprised that we
stared at each other for a long time and
silence filled the room.
When I was about to break the silence,
Santa clapped his hands on my mouth and
whispered “Shhh!” in a stern voice.
I stayed silently waited until Santa
brought me out of my house.
And the thing that surprised me the
most happened.
It was right in front of me.
I gave Santa a slight look and Santa
beemed.

What! To The North Pole!?

The thing that amazed me the most is

when Santa showed me his sleigh with 9
reindeer and a big present bag that was
full.
The sleigh was as big as a giant, and
the reindeer is as big as a tree that had
lived for 2,000 years.
Then Santa asked “Will you go to the
North Pole for a visit?”
I could not resist and climbed aboard
the huge sleigh next to Father Christmas.
Santa’s reindeer and Santa were
different than story books.

7
Santa was wearing sky blue instead of
red and the reindeer were all red nosed.
It was very different, but I still liked
Santa’s kindness and his reindeer sleigh.
Then I struck a question to Santa and
Santa said “It is because you might reveal
my true identity. So I was afraid of that.”
I was very shocked by the answer!
He was afraid?!
But knew his mind at kept quiet for the
rest of our journey towards the North
Pole.

Wow! It’s the Northern Lights!

We arrived at the North Pole in 30

minutes later than I expected.
It was so chilly in the North Pole and I
shivered a lot.
Santa gave me prepare a wool coat, a
pair of fur boots, and deer fur pants with a
chestnut colored cotton sweater.
Then Santa said, “ Look, Julia. Do you
like the Northern Rainbow like colored
lights?”
I was too into the light to answer but
Santa knew my answer would be ‘Yes, I
love it!’

10
Then together at the beautiful lights
near each other.
I looked at the night so into the stars
and the Northern Lights and suddenly the
light disappeared!
Santa said, “They only appear at
Christmas Eve at 4:00 am in the
morning.”
I was disappointed but I was once
happy again as I, Julia Kweon, entered
Santa’s beloved workshop in the middle
of the North Pole.
I saw little elves next to Santa’s
workshop preparing a Christmas tree.
It was a beautiful sight.

Santa’s Beloved Workshop

Santa’s workshop was huge.

There were elves that made chocolates,
sweets, stuffed dolls, clothes, shoes, hats,
videogames, books and other toys.
After that, I went the very end where
there was the house of Santa.
Santa went to his wife and said,
“Dearie, a visitor arrived.”
Very slowly, Mrs. Claus got up and
told me her name which is Mrs. M
(Monica) Claus.
I asked “ Can I have a tour?”
She said, “My pleasure, Deariest!”

13
And took me up to meet the elves.
One of the favorate elves of Mrs.
Monica Claus was Monicia the elf.
She is a girl elf with long dangling
yellow hairs and Carnery shaped pin on
her head.
Once I finished touring with Mrs.
Monica Claus, I asked her for food
because I was very, very, very, very
hungry.
I was eating rapidly when I heard
something.
Uh, Oh, This isn’t so good.

Lunch Time Is Horrible Today!

Ding! Dong!
Ding! Dong!
Ding! Dong!
Ding! Dong!

The church bells rang out the North

Pole.
‘Oh, No! My parents will be worried!’I
thought.
I ran to Santa and told him my trouble
but he said “Not to worry, Julia. I have
stopped time.”

17
I was puzzled at first, but I figured out
that Santas have special powers to do
magic.
So I played at the workshop all day
long.
Then suddenly, I asked “Monicia, Can
you pull the sleigh?”
She said “Of course!”
So I told her “Monicia, Can you bring
me home?”
“Ok” she said.
Then we flew of into the night.
Santa woke up while Monicia and I
were flying to Daejeon, Korea.
He went to his workshop but was
startled by a note that said :
Dear Santa Clause,
I am leaving. So sorry.
My Sincere apologies, Julia Kweon

Home, Sweet Home!

I rode on Santa’s sleigh with Monicia

the elf.
We soared into the sky which had pale
with clouds leaving Father Christmas and
Mrs. Claus behind in North Pole.
I was a bit sorry for them, but I was
happy once again as I reached my house.
As a farewell, I made Monicia a
snowman that looks like Monicia and she
was so thrilled that she even kissed me!
At last, Monicia drove away with the
reindeer on a sleigh after I said “Good
bye!” and petted all the animals.

20
Then, when they left, I went upstairs to
sleep in my cozy little bed in my
bedroom.
There, I had a good dream and a bad
dream.
The first one was a good dream, but
the second one was a bad dream.
I hope the first one is real, but in the
other hand, I hope the second one never
happen.
I said that all for Father Christmas the
Santa Claus we all know about!

The Good And The Bad Dreams

The first dream was “Good news!”

It is about Santa working so well the
elves and Mrs. Monica Claus were so
proud of him.
They helped him work out his
problems and made a happy family.
I wish that would happen someday or
today.
My second dream was called “Santa’s
measles.”
“Mr. Claus has come down with
measles and we are closing the shop. We,
elves, are about to loose work!” cried
Monicia.

23
The elves had a surprised look on his
face and one of the elves asked Monicia if
Santa is about to die.
She said “Yes!”
And the workshop of Santa has been
perished by a truck forever and from that
day on, Santa died and Christmas was
coded forever and so on.
And I hope this never ever happen as
long as people live on earth.

The Happy Endings With A
Surprise!

||: Jingle Bells

Jingle Bells
Jingle All The Way
Oh What Fun It Is To Ride
In A One Horse Open Sleigh :||

The next morning, my family was in

the kitchen singing “Jingle Bells” while
cooking and eating breakfast.
I went down stairs and asked under the
tree for presents and there was a note
under Christmas tree!

26
It read :

To my dear Julia,
Are you having fun there?
If you want to come over again at
Christmas, wait until 12 am in the
morning while everyone is asleep.
Then I will come for you.

Yours Truly,
Santa and Monica Claus.

So, I did that again next year.

All about the Author and the Illustrator
Julia Kweon

Hello, Friends.
My name is Julia Kweon and I am 10 years old
and a third grader now.
I always dreamt of being an author and an
illustrator and I like drawing.
How I became an author is because my parents
and teachers told me I was talented in writing
story books.
Since I like Christmas, I wrote it in January
31th 2010.
I love to think and create stuff.
When I thought about Christmas and Santa, I
thought of going to the North Pole and again
returning.
I think this book is my imagination brain
stormed.
I hope you enjoy it.
Farewell, Everybody!~
