High rod stresses were observed since 14th July. Distorted cards were

decrease in load values was observed just for 3 days. The load started
increasing from 31st August. The loads are now stable in a range of 7000 to
15000lbs.

Recommendations & performance (if any):

• HOC was recommended for high rod stress and increasing loads.
• Vibration check to check for distorted cards.

Remarks and Specific Observations

It has been observed that after placing of dead weights the vibrations have
reduced and better cards were observed. But recently cards with kinks are
obtained frequently. The well goes on Lo-Lo Load shut down. Vibration at the

The well was recommended to be tested on Independent flow line. But
production rate decreased on independent flow line. It Might be a case of
high back pressure.

49
Well History:
From the production history graph shown above, it is clearly seen the rapid
production decline from June onwards. Well has been producing lot of gas.

Recommendations & performance (if any):

After observing gas lock tendency in cards; it was recommended to decrease
the SPM from 4.2 to 2.1. There was little bit improvement in cards but
production still not observed as such.

Remarks and Specific Observations

• After doing pump reseating recently, production is observed in the well
site, but no production is observed in the test separator as told by
ONGC personnel.

52
Well History:
From the production history graph shown above, it is clearly seen the rapid
production decline from June onwards. Well has been producing lot of gas.

Recommendations & performance (if any):

Recommendation for SPM reduction was given keeping in view to increase
the pump fillage, after that shape of the card changed as shown above in the
case of special card. Production was still not observed and polished rod was
getting heated. So it was decided to shut down the well.
Remarks and Specific Observations
Before SPM increase it was observed that fillage increases by 40-50% after
the well comes from its idle time (15mins). But those improved fillage cards
last for just 5 mins; after that again fillage goes back to 25%(as shown in
normal cards).

Remarks and Specific Observations
Fluid has a water cut of 98%. As reported by ONGC, the well produces fluid
through the annulus while it is pumped and no production is observed from
the well otherwise.
