AF Board Fellowship Program

Who We Are…
 Aashayein Foundation (AF) is a registered NGO dedicated for the cause of education for
underprivileged children
 AF was registered as an NGO with the Govt. of Karnataka on 19th May, 2007. It has Income Tax
80G exemption.
 Currently, operations across 3 cities in India – Bangalore (HQ), Hyderabad, Mysore
 More than 1500 registered members.
 Majority of the members are software professionals from IT & ITES companies in the age group
of 20-30 years including students.
 Our members are present in almost all the IT companies and we raise funds through that network
 Previously, students from ISB and IIM-Indore did their projects in AF.

AF Projects

 Sunday Breakfast Activity (SBA): Platform to serve Sunday breakfast to children of various
aashrams across the city and identify their requirements and challenges and support them
 Bacche Mann Ke Sacche (BMKS): Sponsoring the education of 100+ children in Hyd and
250+ in B’lore.
 Shikshana Abhiyana (SA): To improve the quality of education imparted in government
schools and conduct classes on weekends. In Hyderabad, we support 3 such schools.
 Pustaka Abhiyana (PA): Fulfill infrastructural needs of the schools & students, mostly in rural
areas.
 Fund Raising events i.e. Movie Screening, WalkON

Board Fellowship Program

Fellowship program to IBS students has following features:


1. Student will be placed on the Board of Aashayein and would participate in all the decision
making processes and Board meetings.
2. A life-time opportunity to give back to the society and work for a cause.
3. An opportunity to work at a ground level and solve real-societal problems
4. Chance to network with corporate, individuals, and passionate people.
5. Good opportunity for students planning to pursue their career in the social sector or as social
entrepreneurs
Eligibility Criteria
1. Students who aspire high and are committed, self-motivated and passionate for this cause.
2. Aptitude to learn new things
3. Ability to see and think upon a problem from holistic perspective
4. Managerial skills
5. Students with relevant prior experience in social sector may be preferred.

Likely topics for Fellowship


 Plan & organize fund-raising event for AF
 Prepare the marketing plan and run the marketing campaigns
 Design guidelines for financial transactions by adopting the best practices and implement them
 Design plans for volunteer engagement, motivation and management and how volunteers can be
utilized efficiently and effectively
 Work on the revenue-generation model of NGO and self-sustainability concepts
 Study the operational model of existing projects and recommend ways to improve them and
make them impactful

Expected no. of interns: 4

Stipend: Rs. 3000 p.m.

Profiles offered: Finance, Marketing, HR, Operations

Location: Hyderabad

Selection Procedure
1. Presentation on 4th Dec, Saturday
2. Initial Screening of resumes followed by interview round on 4th Dec, Saturday
3. Bring 2 hard copies of CV for interview
