Have you ever been worried about an upcoming test?

As a student, there
are many times you are overwhelmed by all the assignments coming at
you. You have a book to read, a three page paper due tomorrow, and an
oral report on Friday. Life can come at you fast and sometimes we can get
ourselves into trouble by procrastinating. However, if we are surrendered
to God, than the Bible says not to worry. You do not want to be so
overwhelmed with worry about your assignments that you forget about
those around you who need a relationship with God in their lives. You can
be an example of the peace only God gives as you live for him.

Remember, prayer must be an essential part of your daily life as a

Christian. Look at this breakdown of the verse above:

1. “6a Don’t worry about anything” – This doesn’t mean you never think
through problems you are dealing with. It means there is a trust that God is
going to help you and give you peace during the day.
2. “ 6b …Pray about everything” – As you encounter every day obstacles
and issues, ask God for his wisdom.
3. “7a …Tell God what you need…” – Ask God to help you speak to your
friends about your relationship with him. He will create opportunities for you
to be real with them.
4. “7b …Thank him for all he has done.” – Reflect on your day and thank

Prayer – Day 2 him for what he did and the prayers he is answering.

Prayer Assignment/Emphasis –
Daily Scripture – Philippians 4:6
Spend two minutes telling God what you have been worried about. Ask him
“6 Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God for peace and wisdom so you can focus on those around you who don’t
what you need, and thank him for all he has done.“ know him as their Lord.

Walking it Out –
As God speaks to you in your prayer time, write down what He is saying to
you. What person on your five friend focus does God want you to spend
more time with? How about hanging out with them at Starbucks, on the
basketball court, at the mall, at your house, during lunch at school, or even
some other hang out spot? Ask the people at your lunch table if you can
pray over their lunch.
