CORNERSTONE PRAYER TEAM

PRO-ACTIVE PRAYER
The First-in-Prayer event on Wednesday, December 1st will be easy for you to attend since you will already be
here! Before or after (or during) the class night time you can visit the Commons Area and pray over all the
Christmas events for the month of December. Will you pray for God to be glorified through all the events of the
church? Will you pray for any unbelievers who attend any of the services and shows to hear the Gospel Message
and be saved? Will you pray for God to bless and protect all those performing? Just stop by the tables in the
Commons and pray as suggested and as the Holy Spirit leads.

Spend a day with God!

Now this could be a couple of special hours, the whole day or more! You can be alone
with the LORD but also come together with family and friends for a time of corporate
worship. What a wonderful way to spend a day with friends! How amazing for a
family to honor the Lord in this way! So you won't forget the date you select, you can
sign up on the bulletin board's day with God calendar -- making a commitment to
spend that day with God. Also, the prayer team will pray for you before and on the
day you have chosen.
Here are some ideas to help you get started:

· Read scripture together.

On Friday November 5th, 131 students, chaperones and

college students departed for Fort Caswell for our
Annual Fall Retreat. The Retreat’s theme was, Soul
Survivor - OUTLIVE, OUTPRAY, OUTSERVE. Once
there students were divided into TRIBES and they
competed in Survivor challenges and a Soul Survivor
Ultimate Relay. On Saturday and Sunday mornings the Survivors were given TREE
MAIL which came straight from the Word of God. Throughout the weekend Survivors participated in four
sessions of worship and teaching. At Saturday night’s session we saw at least 17 decisions for Christ. One
particular decision was made by a high school senior who received a scholarship. Her decision was, as she
put it, “I gave my life to Christ”. Prior to this retreat she did not go to Cornerstone. She is an athlete at
Northwest High School and I see her practically every
day while coaching football. I invited her to come
to which she replied she could not afford it.
Nevertheless, I gave her a scholarship. Because of the
monies you give, lives are changing. This is only
one of many decisions that were made. To God be
the Glory!
