Social Communication in Journalism -

Faculdade Cásper Líbero
My final dissertation was a biography
about a Brazilian writer called Caio
Fernando Abreu. The work “Os
mofos de Caio” (The molds of Caio)
questioned his friends about what they
remembered of Caio (what I called, in
the introduction of the book, mold).
The panel of judges considered the
work a great beginning of a master
degree dissertation about genetic
criticism, considering the distinction of
the work.

Communication, Arts and Technology -

Centro Universitário de Belas Artes
The post-graduation focused in
concepts of design, new media art and
internet tools. The final dissertation
was a monograph called “Who’s the
revolution? The genesis of
collaboration in web”, which
analyzed the social changes caused in
society by the new technologies,
besides use concepts of genetic
criticism in works developed
collaboratively in internet, like the
videos of MadV (image).

The Art of Cybridism
(A Arte do Cibridismo)
This project was contemplated by
Funarte (National Arts Foundation) for
a scholarship for critical production
about artistic contents in digital
media/internet. The research “The
Art of Cybridism” is about new
media art in three states: Minas Gerais,
Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. I
interviewed 11 artists to demonstrate
the contemporary production in digital
art. All the content was published in a
blog http://www.culturadigital.br/
artedocibridismo.

projects

The idea is to build a online platform

about brazilian new media art. The
Instituto Sergio Motta, represented by
Giselle Beiguelman, takes care of the
curatorial process, choosing the
important artists and articulating the
meeting. Veredas, represented by me,
organize the events and create all the
content. Last year, we organize the first
event with the pioneers of digital art in
Brazil. The selected artist was Otavio
Donasci, because of his videocreatures
(image). For more details, see the blog

I truly like to take some pictures when
I see something unusual, funny or
interesting. I use Yahoo's service Flickr
to organize all of them (besides my
Facebook page, in which I published
my mobile experiments). Since is very
difficult to elect just 20 pictures to
send to SVA, I asked some of my
friends to make a selection of him/her
own. I got surprised when the results
came. Instead of the best ones, I could
found their eyes and part of their lives
through my images. I found so
interesting that I decided to put them
together with my selection (the official
one for the application's demand of
SVA) and organized the most selected
pictures in just one set.
