Thank you for your email of letter of 5 January requesting information under the Freedom of Information
Act 2000. In response to your email I can confirm that Brian Young is a member of the AEF (Advertising
Education Forum) as you mention this information is publicly available via the AEF website.

The University does not hold details of his membership and we are therefore unable to respond to your
remaining questions. You may be interested to note that the information requested may be considered
personal data under the Data Protection Act 1998. Therefore, if the University did hold any of the
information we would need to consider whether its release would breach the Data Protection Act 1998.

This response has been prepared in accordance with a request received under the terms of the Freedom
of Information Act. The supply of documents under FOI does not give the person who receives the
information an automatic right to re-use the documents without obtaining the consent of the copyright
