Calling Everyone Over 40 – There Is Still Time!
First, thanks for the comment from a reader about the poison ivy article. This reader suggested that drinking two glasses
of apple juice before going out to work in areas where poison ivy is growing was helpful as a preventive. This probably
adjusts the skin pH (acidity measure) which in turn reduces the sensitivity to the oil in the poison ivy plant leaf. Sounds like
a good suggestion.
Now back to the topic. As people enter the decade of their forties, I read their comments all the time that they are
getting older. XLT, auto., loaded, 89,000 miles. 4 cylinder, auto., loaded.

First, this bothers me a lot because what I hear is people are actually programming themselves to get old and die young.
What we think about is what we get, so if, though-out our lives we constantly are saying, “I am going to live to be 120 years
old”, we actually increase our chances of getting to be 100 years old in good health. When we constantly talk about getting
old, it will actually accelerate our aging.
Second, the decade of the forties is a time when many of us do begin to think about our lives and where we are going
and what we are doing. We may go to the doctor for a physical and blood tests. We may see that we did not take such
good care of ourselves. We may realize that the old football injury is catching up with us. We may hear ourselves grunting
and groaning as we get up out of that chair.
So, now lets analyze our thinking and take inventory of what is going on in our body. Begin to program yourself to live
in perfect health until you are 98 or 120. If you need some help with that try our mind coaching CD, “Coaching for Perfect
Health” or “Christian Coaching for Perfect Health”. Now available at Robinson’s Bargains Unlimited.
When you do a body inventory, here are some things to think about: Are you experiencing any chronic pain? Where
does that come from? Do you have any detrimental habits? How is it hurting you? Are you overweight for your height?
What is the quality of your food? What is the size of your food portions? How is your energy? Are
you experiencing the effects of too much stress? Do you know how to neutralize stress? Are you
doing anything that is damaging to your vision or hearing? How are your routes of waste elimination
(bowel movements, urine, breath, sweat)? Is everything working the way it should? Are you having
fun? Do you enjoy life? Do you love getting up every morning? Are your relationships affecting your Since 1988
health? M-57 to N. M-91/Main St., North 2.5 miles.
After you do this little inventory, do some more thinking, such as “what else do I need to know
about my self?” Most of us have functional health issues that have not yet resulted in pathology Corner of Peck Rd. & M-91 • GREENVILLE, MI
or damage. There is still time to fix it. Our bodies have remarkable self healing and compensation COMPLETE INVENTORY AT: www.RandyMerrenAuto.com
mechanisms. So what can we do, what can we learn, how can we heal ourselves, how can we live
to be 100+ years old and remain in perfect health? Many have done it, so why not every one? Start
asking, start reading, start searching, educate yourself, take responsibility.
