Open the definer

Start ->All Programs ->IBM Filenet Capture Professional ->ADR Tools ->Definer

Or using the shortcut for the definer.

Once the definer is opened . Click “open Image on current Page”

Since the sample files we are using for training are semi structured, we need to adopt best
suited steps to classify and capture data.

Select any image from path C:\Documents and Settings\uswtxmm\Desktop\A0011 - TX -

UM-UMBI (1st Box) (339) Complete.
Once Image opens in the Definer, Create 6 registration marks. Since the form we are
using is semi structured it better to choose non-text registration marks.

Note :-> To create registration marks, Click on the “Registration mark on top tool
bar in definer and then select the object to me registered.
To the right top there is properties window, change the name of registration
mark, type of registration mark and other properties.

Once You have completed creating 6 registration marks the screen should like the
following
Save the definer file by selecting File->save definition file
“c:\Training_documents\TexasDocs\Config|RegPointdefiner.idf”
Documents we are using for sample are Texas documents.
Test the Registration mark by clicking on
Tools-> Test Definition- OR F8

Once test started following screen comes. Select the process step as shown in image.
Then Run the test or press F8 as shown in image. Then press run step, you should find
mark found for all the registration mark you made in definer..

Note: If any of mark says failed you need to go back to definer and make changes
like.Change the out blue line dimension or inner green line dimension and try again
until all registration mark you have marked are found in the test.
Again press F8 or select and click Tools-> Test Definition to go to test mode.
Then click on add images as shown in image.

Add more images to test.

Select all of images selected and then run the test to see all registration marks are found
on all images we have added.
Note: sometimes registration mark may fail on some documents because of wrong
orientation, in such cases go back to the definer make changes to definer file save
and tests again repeat the process until you get satisfied results.
Make sure Al least 3 out of 6 registration marks are found for each document.

Save the definer file bye selecting File-> save definition file. Then close the definer.

Then Test your definition file using the “Recognition Test” tool.

Click on
Start ->All Programs ->IBM Filenet Capture Professional ->ADR Tools
->Recognition Test tool

Once the Recognition test tool is opened click on

File-> new Project as shown in Image.
