Dear Brothers and Sisters,

This newsletter has been compiled together to bring glad tidings which can
be received by all who hearken unto the voice of the LORD within His Word. It
has been produced with the purpose of offering the readers to come into the
knowledge of Present Truth. As Sister White tells us; “There are many
precious truths in the Word of God but it is the Present Truth that the flock
needs now.” {EW 63}. What is Present Truth? In every generation God raises
a prophet, for us, Sister Ellen. G. White, to warn the people with a message for
that time, we, the final generation, have been given by God, the last message
of love and mercy. The message of Present Truth is the Third Angels Message,
together with the first two, and this coincides with Daniel 11:40-45, which will
be proven herein. It is now within ourselves to prayerfully read and study
through the plain testimony stored in these pages and to learn what it is we
should know in our time of this world’s history to prepare us for time and
eternity. My prayer is that the Holy Spirit will illumine your hearts and minds
as you take time to view the light given, and in doing so, accomplish a much
more rooted, grounded understanding of what Bible prophecy means to both

you and I, and therefore be of one mind and one accord as Christ Jesus, thus
revealing His perfect character, in His infinite name. Amen.

The Work of God's Servants. God's true servants will not be

ashamed of the banner of truth, however unpopular it may be. They will
not hold their peace from proclaiming the truth in all places.
Throughout the world they will herald the glad tidings of salvation. They
will be missionaries for God, for the truth's sake facing danger,
enduring privation, suffering reproach. {18MR 137.1}

The third angel is represented as flying swiftly through the midst of

heaven, proclaiming his message with a loud voice. This representation
symbolizes the work of God's agencies near the end of time. With joyful
countenances and uplifted heads, with the bright beams of the Sun of
Righteousness shining upon them, with rejoicing that their redemption
draweth nigh, they go forth as soldiers of the cross. {18MR 137.2}

They make it manifested that they have tasted the power of the
world to come, that they are not standing on sliding sand, but on the
solid Rock, that they cannot be easily moved away from the faith once
delivered to the saints. They are strengthened by their Leader to cope
with difficulty, and are messengers of righteousness, representing
Christ and revealing the triumphs of His grace. {18MR 137.3}

There are men and women of refinement and education who will
throw the whole weight of their influence on the Lord's side, who,
ignoring worldly interests and parting with friends, will go forth to
proclaim the unsearchable riches of Christ. Their lives show the world
that in Christianity there is a power that exalts the character in
righteousness and true holiness. Through them the gospel is seen to be
the power of God unto salvation. {18MR 137.4}

 An Understanding of ‘Tidings’ In the Bible
Firstly, we shall study what the term ‘Tidings’ means? And, also,
more importantly, why do we need to understand this?

In the Word of God, there are many instances in which the Lord has
spoken this specific word. However, the meaning is altered to suit the
individual condition in question. For example, there can be either good,
glad tidings or bad, evil tidings, although, not in every circumstance, is
it distinctively clear, whether the tidings spoken of are good or evil as
the verse will not have the word ‘good’ or ‘evil’ in front of the word
‘tidings’, therefore the order and format of the Scripture must be
closely evaluated, so as to conclude what God would have us
understand. When we look into the Bible, we will learn what the Lord
has made available to us; to study by hearing and obeying the Spirit of
Truth.

To conduct a word study on ‘tidings’ by the use of a concordance, such

as, Strong’s, Brown Driver Brigg’s (BDB), Lexicon, and so forth, unless
otherwise stated, all results will be shown where the word is in the
Bible. Tidings can be found 41 times in the King James Version Bible,
(with use of Strong’s), however, I will only provide a selected number in
this topic of study. Also, I would like to point out that the use of
Cruden’s Concordance was made applicable within this particular study,
to learn the definition of what is truth and what is error, and to decipher
from that which is good and that which is evil, related to ‘tidings’.
The following examples have been taken from:- Cruden’s
Complete Concordance to the Old and New Testaments, Mickelson's
Enhanced Strong's Greek and Hebrew Dictionaries and Brown Driver
Brigg’s Dictionary (BDB).

This is an appropriate illustration, in accordance to the above

paragraph explaining the two different ways in which the word tidings
can be used, whether good or evil, and where to place one or the other,
if not clearly identified. Here the term is used to represent ‘good news’,
as it is clear from the complete context of the structured sentence. Also
we must read and study a few verses before and after the main verse,
it may require even studying the whole chapter or book, to come to an
understanding of what is written for our learning and admonition.
As a second witness, for the example of ‘good’ tidings and the same
pattern in order to distinguish what type of tidings heretofore is
present, we can also consider:

The above is a specific verse found in the book of Daniel it is a key

verse, with special interest to the time of which we are now living. And
it has a prophetic application and relation in the final stages of events
which are unfolding before us.

What These ‘Tidings’ Mean To Us?

The books of Daniel and Revelation should be fervently studied by

those who are waiting for the Lord’s return, as they contain the very
words which are necessary for our eternal salvation. How can it be
proved that Daniel 11:44 is ‘good’ tidings? Also, if this is true, what do
they mean to us? There will be more emphasis given on verse 44 of
Daniel 11, and connected texts, as from verse 40 to 45 reveals the time
of end, which will all be bought to our attention as we proceed.

The second example is provided from the Cruden’s Concordance which
gives this portion of Scripture for tidings, and again, without making it
apparent from the offset if it is good or evil, however we will see that
once the verse continues onward it does explain itself for us in detail
that this in fact speaking of evil tidings.

We will now exegesis tidings in the fashion of the word good or glad
and bad or evil presented first, preceding the word tidings.

‘evil tidings’ were found only three times, two have been shown above
and the third is as follows:

And so, from what is succumbed in the texts, showing a change in

circumstances on the page prior to this, the whole structure has been
rearranged from what can be seen in the proof texts shown(evil/bad
tidings), in comparison to the previous examples, which stated ‘good,
glad tidings’.

From all the diverse examples of Scripture, using the Biblical rule of
interpretation: “Upon the testimony of two or three is a thing
established”, (Deut 17:6, Matt 18:6, 2 Corinthians 13:1) it is evident
that the term ‘tidings’ is in relevance to an announcement, news,
report or message. This is crucial to understand and to store in mind, as
it will be made known shortly what is the importance of the tidings we
are instructed to know.

As pointed out at the beginning, in the Foreword, the Present Truth for
our time must be studied, that we may obtain a more clearer
understanding of what is to come, and by doing so, be prepared to
meet it. And so, the question is presented, what is Present Truth? We
have answered this briefly in the earlier comments given, however,
there is much else involved. Present Truth is truth for us, as God’s
people, in our history, as when we take a look back into the past we will
see that every generation had a ‘present truth’ for their time. God
delivered His people by sending them a messenger or prophet with a
special message for each time period.

Now, for us, God has revealed a special last message of love, mercy
and warning, this is the Third Angels Message, which is a three-fold
message, with the First and Second Angels messages, combined with
the fourth Angel, which is a repeat of the Second. And if there is a
special message, there undoubtedly must be a messenger, who is the
last day prophet of the Lord? It is Ellen G. White, she was chosen by
God to give this message of the Three Angels to the final generation.
But we also have an individual responsibility to go forth and sound the
trumpet, with a certain sound. And this certain sound is the
proclamation of the Third Angel’s Message, “Come out of her My
people, that ye be not partakers of her sins…”, so that they receive not
the mark of the beast or the wrath of God, (Rev 14:9, Rev 18:4) this
message is to be given to the whole world. The Third Angel’s message
is a message that will prepare a people to stand in the great and
dreadful day of the Lord.
Tidings of Present Truth

 The Present Truth for our time is the message God has given to His
people which was sealed in the time of the prophet Daniel who was
given the words to write, however, the meaning of them was concealed
from his understanding until the ‘time of the end’.
The words ‘time of the end’ arise a number of times in the Bible, and
they all can be found in the book of Daniel, 4 times, (Daniel 11:35,
11:40, 12:4, 12:9)
But the most necessary passages of Holy Writ which apply to our
history is Daniel 11:40-45, as stated earlier, with emphasis added on
the key word ‘tidings’ also, in which verse 40 starts with the term ‘And
at the time of the end’. This text is exceptionally clear from the peculiar
words God has chosen, that the prophet Daniel is speaking here of the
end of time.

From what has been established, the opposition between what are
the good and what are the evil tidings encompassed in the Word of
God, let us consider and proceed with the good tidings and the purpose
they have within, to find what God would have us learn and
understand. What are these good tidings we are to know of? And once
we do know, what does God expect us to do? Well, firstly these tidings
must revive and refine the whole life-being of the believer; the
character will be evidently seen to have conformed to the Divine
Pattern. He then, would have us to proclaim these tidings because they
are good, of course. And the tidings are a message directly from God
Himself; therefore this subject-matter is not to be received lightly.

In the next study it will be made evident, what is the ‘Time of the End?
as signified in Daniel 11:40 to begin with, which also has an ordered
parallel with the tidings we must comprehend, and all Scripture proofs
will be thus presented. Then as these studies transpire, from verses 40-
45 of Daniel 11, increased knowledge and understanding is surely
promised and will be disclosed unto all faithful students of prophecy.
