Federal Judge Roger Vinson, a Reagan appointee serving in Pensacola, Florida,
ruled that key components of the law signed by President Barack Obama in
March, are unconstitutional and that the entire law "must be declared void."
Judge Roger Vinson found the entire law unconstitutional, after declaring that its
key element -- the health insurance mandate -- was a law Congress did not have
the power to enact. Opponents of the law claimed that while the government

Americanism Report
In honor of the February birthdays of Presidents
Ronald Reagan, Abraham Lincoln and George Washington,
let us restate some of our core beliefs:
2907 E Street, Eureka 442-2527 ■ You cannot help the poor, by destroying the rich.
32 Sunnybrae Center, Arcata 822-3750 ■ You cannot strengthen the weak, by weakening the strong.
Redwood Village Shopping Center 725-9003 ■ You cannot bring about prosperity, by discouraging thrift.
■ You cannot lift the wage earner up, by pulling the wage
payer down.
■ You cannot further the brotherhood of man, by inciting
class hatred.
■ You cannot build character and courage, by taking away
men's initiative and independence.
■ You cannot help 20 men permanently, by doing for them
what they could and should, do for themselves.
