On 14 June 1777, the Marine
Committee of the Continental
Congress adopted a resolution,
which gave birth to our National
Flag. The resolution read:
“Resolved that the Flag of the
United States be made of 13
stripes, alternate red and white,
that the union be 13 stars, white
in a blue field, representing a
new constellation.”

from heaven, the red from our

The Governor’s May Budget

The state is now starting to
face the stark reality of what
most of its citizens face once a
month, weekly, or bi-weekly - -
the bills. It became clear that the
state has to choose between the
little extras and paying the bills.

The Governor chose to pay
the rent, i.e., keeping important
things like our wonderful parks
open, funding our children’s
education, and keeping twenty-

conference is how to best use

liberty, a symbol of hope for all
people who “hold these truths to
be self-evident, that all men are
created equal, that they are
endowed by their Creator with
certain unalienable Rights, that
among these are Life, Liberty
and the pursuit of Happiness.”

display and pay homage to our
country's flag.

growth and hurt families.

Governor and Democrats to take
immediate action to balance the
budget and help California live

"Ski" Demski, founder and father of the

Superflag, The World's Largest Flag is no longer with
us. He requested that Superflag continue to be
displayed across this great country for the Thomas L.
Demski Trust, by Jim Alexander.

"Ski" Demski had this flag made of cloth and sewn

together in Pennsylvania (his home state) and delivered
to him on Flag Day June 14, 1992.

In order to make it into The Guinness Book of World

Records® this 3000 lb. Superflag, now The Worlds
Largest Flag was hoisted over the Hoover Dam with the
help and supervision by "Ski" Demski.

The primary focus of Superflag is to bring patriotism,

nationalism, and American sentiment back into our
society. Superflag is but just one of many avenues
available to do this.

King David faced a time of
persecution when he wrote
Psalm 41. He asked God for
help on the basis of his
integrity. He reminded God
that even if others considered
him unkind, that he had been
good to the poor. He was upset
concerning his reputation.
How does our integrity as
Republicans, measure up to our
reputation propagandized in the
media? We hear words like;
they are mean spirited...they
don’t care for the poor...they
are racist.
Yet we know that surveys
clearly show conservatives are
more generous in their giving to
charities and liberals take other
peoples money to aid those
supposedly in need. History
shows it was a Republican
President who went to war to
free the slaves and were
responsible for voting in the civil
rights act.
Our reputations in the minds
of others reveals what they want
to perceive us to be. Our
integrity should affirm to us the
truth as God sees it.

Every third or fourth email or
letter or phone call I get is a
request for contributions to
Republican congressional
candidates. I have contributed
and will do so again but for today
I sent the following reply:
To: Congressional Solicitors,
Right now all Republican
congressional candidates appear
to be doing is to run against the
threat of the cockeyed
Democrats. Further you have
been an embarrassment in your
failure to control the despicable
earmarks which amount to
bolstering your campaigns at
taxpayer expense. In every sense
you (collectively) have harvested
public monies as campaign
contributions.
Obama and his fog
headed congressional candidates
are frightening but you need to
have a platform that relates to
what your potential voters can
see as a reason to vote for you.
Newt Gingrich has a proposal.
Someone in your hirarchy should
be able to provide solid reasons
to vote for you. If you get
elected get to work and keep
your word.
For a few suggestions: Contol
earmarks--Declare a year's
moratorium. After that if a thing
is worth spending public money
on make it stand alone.
Enact realistic measures to deal
with energy needs on both short
and long terms. If you hadn't
spent so much dumb time
pandering to the
environmentalist vote we
wouldn't be in this situation.
Impose a national speed limit.
Tighten up on how many mixes
we have on fuel. Use our own
resources. Stop saying these
measures are needed but not in
my state. The fact that China is
drilling off our coast and we are
not makes us look like idiots.
Utilize the coal on government
lands. Grow up.
Tighten up on government.
Remember we are the party of
less government. We don't need
to have more and more bureaus
of tomfoolery created. Trim the
blubber. Further most of the fool
hearings that are held simply
become a session for the public
to view too many senate or
house members grandstanding in
grandiose styles. Forty times
more stuff is heard
from congress than is heard from
those called to give testimony.
Giving jobs to every yahoo who
ever worked on your campaigns
and all your relatives isn't
constructive. Stop getting
yourselves involved in
scandalous behavior--and get rid
of those who do. Everyone blabs
about the loss of Hassert's seat--if
he had behaved himself that
wouldn't have been a problem.
Why are you still jerking around
with Larry Craig? Knock off the
graft and favor seeking. Many of
you have independent wealth.
All of you are paid salaries and
have perks that are well beyond
most of the citizenry--enough
already. Be somebody we can be
proud to have in office. If you
think this sounds like too much
to ask ponder the fact that you
worked like crazy to get elected
and do everything on God's
green earth to hang on to the
job. That should put that in
perspective.
It is flagrantly apparent that both
the house and senate on both
sides of the aisle are too often
conspiring for political advantage
rather than being intent on doing
what is best for the country.
Take the high road and do what
best serves the people.
Congressional members blab
constantly about the President's
low rating. Wake up and smell
the manure pile because your
ratings are even lower. That is
seldom mentioned but that does
not make it go away.
