Announcements

This
week,

is
the
FINAL
week
for
students
to
purchase
a
2011
Yearbook.
This
year's
book,
"Enlightened,"
promises
to
be
one
of
the
best
yet!

Cost
is
$65,
payable
by
cash
or
check
to
RHHS.

Personalization
(name
stamping
and
icons)
is
NO
LONGER
AVAILABLE.

There
WILL
NOT
BE
EXTRA
BOOKS
when
the
books
arrive
in

Seniors

Supplement,"
a
16‐page
insert

covers

things
Senior"‐‐Prom,

hands

community
service
event
called
SSO
Day
(Students
Serving
Others).
Students
will
be
able
to
learn

and
actively
participate
in
service‐learning
throughout

County.

blood
drive.
Carter
Blood
Care
will
be
at
RHHS
from
8:30
to
3:15
on
February
25th.
As
indicated
on
the
20102011
school
calendar,

first
two
bad
weather
makeup
days
for
all
RISD
students
and
staff
will
be
Friday,
March
11,
and
Friday,
May
27.
Attendance
Procedures
All
absences
require
written
documentation
the
day
a
student
returns
to
school.
If
you
are
signed
up
for
Family
Access,
please
enter
absence
notifications
through
Skyward
in
lieu
of
written
notes.
Family
Access
applications
are
available
on
campus
or
on
the
district
web
site.
All
parents
are
encouraged
to

Rocket
Club
–
Everyone
is
invited
to
attend
a
Rocket
Launch
on
February
26.
Students
and
adults
will
be
launching
rockets
of
various
types
and
size.
It
will
be
at
Tate
Farms
near
205
and
548.
There
will
be
signs
directing
you
to
the
location.
We
hope
to
see
you
there.
Counseling
News

UTI
‐
a
nationally‐accredited
technical
institute
that
offers
programs
in
transportation
and
motor
sports
professions
will
be
at
Rockwall
Heath
High
School
on
Thursday,
March
10,
2011
during
Advisory
in
the
Lecture
Hall
to
discuss
their
programs
with
RHHS
juniors
and
seniors.
Students
can
receive
training
in
a
fast‐growing
and
exciting
industry.
There
are
10
UTI
campuses
across
the
country.
Most
students
from
the
MetroPlex
did
attend
the
campus
in
Houston,
Texas;
however
with
the
UTI
‐
MetroPlex
Campus
located
in
Irving's
Los
Colinas.
It
may
be
more
convenient
for
students
to
enroll
in
Irving.
UTI
is
well
known
for
the
quality
of
graduates
in
the
industry.
You
can
see
more
information
on
program
offerings
at

You
may
just
find
an
opportunity
you
had
not
thought
of
at
this
meeting.
There
is
a
scholarship
test
for
UTI
scheduled
on
March
12
at
the
Irving
Los
Colinas
location.

PTSA
Meeting

Library
Our PTSA president, Tonja Bridges, will give a very brief overview of the
CYBER 101 program that was presented to the Freshmen girls on Feb.
10. We will also slate a nominating committee for next years PTSA
officers. The membership chair will be present to take last minute PTA
memberships. She will accept PTA memberships for this year and give
you a card on the spot. So...if you are a senior and would like to apply
for a PTA scholarship, this is your chance to join PTA so that you can
apply for the scholarship. Please try to attend, the meeting will be
brief! If you are unable to attend the meeting and would still like to
place membership by the March 1st deadline, you can fill out the
attached membership form and mail to the address listed on the form.
