approximate date for us to occupy our new
church building.
We plan to have a walk-thru on March 16th
after the morning service for everyone to
have the chance to see how things are going.

Sonia Shearer – Elder & Storehouse
Leader:
I'm so excited to be moving into the
Warehouse. This will enable us to
distribute food and other items from "The
Storehouse" on a regular basis. While we
do not have the strategy quite in place for
that as yet, it will enable us to help the
community on a regular basis. I'm looking
forward to being able to have a permanent
structure that we can meet in and
distribute from. Thanks to all who have
been a part of making this happen.

Brenda Petersen - Kitchen Ministry:

Just the size and set up of the new
building will make meal get togethers
much, much easier, and more relaxing
and easier to plan. Reaching a larger
number of people will bring more into the
kingdom of God. Having facilities for
storage and neat set ups will make
inventory a breeze. Bringing people
together through meals at the table of God
is a blessing for all concerned, those who
attend, those who help out and work and
those who plan. It will bring unity of the
body on a larger scale, not to our glory,
but to God's.

Barb Smith – CREATIVE ARTS:

For the Creative Arts Ministry, I believe the
first and foremost change for the life of our
ministry is a place to meet and
practice the different venues of dance and
drama. Through this preparation, we will
be able to bring forth the awe-inspiring
message of the gospel of Jesus! I truly
hope that a production that has been
brewing inside of me for three years will
become a reality.
Jill Porvaznik – NURSERY & PRESCHOOL:
Occupying the building for those of us who
are involved in Childcare Ministry is
something that we just can not wait for.
We are so excited to have a place to call
our own. An area that the kids love and
look forward to being in and a place
parents feel safe when leaving their
children. With a team leader like Danelle
Wall who loves each child and who loves
greeting the parents each week; as well
as organizing the lessons and snacks, life
will just continue as normal. It will be nice
to have toys that do not have to be hauled
back and forth and super great to have a
different area for different activities. The
team has been so faithful in sharing their
time and love with the kids. There will
be more chances to serve once we get
into the new building, so please be
considering your act of giving in these
precious little hearts and lives.
Neal Hayes – STATURE Youth Pastor:
For "STATURE", I see the Warehouse
providing us with a place that we can call
our own. Although we are thankful for the
facilities that have served our needs over
the past years, I am excited about the
Youth having their own "digs" that they
can consistently use. I see Warehouse as
an activity center for youth - a place for
community and a safe place for youth to
connect. This would include (of course)
free Wi-Fi and coffee & beverages! The
Warehouse will provide for us a place to
enjoy more lock-ins (as
long as Mrs. Rhonda makes her biscuits
and gravy), movie nights, a sports activity
center, gaming cafe', place of artistic
expression with art, music, acting, &
dance; a place for worship & soaking; and
even an occasional concert hall! I see an
enlarged place where young people can
sing, pray, study the Word and shoot each
other with Nerf guns! Additionally, I
envision the Warehouse as a place of
ministry distribution - where young people
can use their giftings to reach out to the
poor, hungry and needy. For some, it may
only be a cool place to hang out and do
homework. Whatever is done, it will be
done to glorify God, and the greatest
treasure of the Warehouse will be found
not in the physical structure, but in the
valuable souls that dwell therein.
Vance Harbaugh – elevati on Young Adults:
To elevate means to lift up, to promote, to
grow, to put in high spirits, and to give a
voice. In Elevation we seek to lift up our
Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To promote
a continual movement forward in
becoming more whole in who we are in
Him. Through knowing Him and His ways
we grow spiritually, emotionally, and
physically. Our spirits are raised as we
love Jesus heart, soul, mind, and strength.
We give voice to the unconditional love of
Jesus by being a family to one another
and inviting others in. Ultimately,
Elevation's vision is to give young adults a
platform to fellowship, to serve, to do life
together. Having a permanent place at the
Warehouse Church will encourage and
develop this vision.
Ron Sellers – KID’S Church
Pastor:
The warehouse children are
looking forward to getting into the
building so we will have a room
where we can leave our sound
equipment set up and a bathroom
near our children’s church area
so they won’t have so far to go,
when they have to go! We also
want to make a stage set or
backdrop for a children’s church
theme. We haven’t decided what
backdrop scene we want to go
with yet but we’re thinking about
an inner city scene, or a hospital
scene. One of the first things we want to
do is have a “lock in” or “sleepover” with
the kids. We did it at our house over a Renee Stoffel – averagejoe’s Café :

Spheres of Influence
I just got back from a conference
called a KEYS conference. It was
about a lot of financial things, but
not the way one might think. Much of this
was about the economy now and future
economy of the United States and how it
would affect the world. This was also
about wealth transfer and how God would
use us if we would allow him and agree
with him in many areas of our lives, not
just finance. This conference was a lot
about taking our mountain of influence
instead of the devil having it. Something
began to get deep into my spirit as I sat in
these meetings.
What is your sphere of influence and
how far do you want that influence to go.
What is a sphere? A sphere, according to
Webster’s New World Dictionary is any
round body or figure having an equal
distance from the center at all points such
as globe, ball or planet. The people
around you are your sphere, that maybe
your work place, your retirement
community, etc. My next question would
be how we are influencing that sphere of
people around us. How much influence do
we actually have? According to the
scripture we should have lots. God in us,
should be more powerful than the devil
around us. Paul says” God in you the
hope of glory”. The Holy Spirit when
released has lots of power. God in us is
more powerful than the enemy.
I think many of us are sitting back and
allowing the enemy to take our sphere of
influence because we are complacent.
For instance my sphere of influence is in
the business world with my customers.
For years I have complained about how
dark the cloud is over “The Villages”.

I apologize if you live there. I think there is
a sphere of influence that has set itself up
against God in that area. It is my job to
take that sphere back for the kingdom of
God because that is where most of my
customers are. We can do this by
releasing the word of God without quoting
scripture and verse.
We must also work in our sphere with
clean hands and pure heart. So many
people in business (or otherwise) say they
are going to do something then never
follow through. When we do that we lie.
We have made a promise that we have
not kept therefore we have sinned. Most
likely, we all do this. For instance; we tell
someone, “I will call you next week and
we’ll get together”, then we don’t. We
need to be slow about making promises
and quick to apologize if we failed and
repent to our God. Many times it is an
accumulation of small things that keep us
from taking our sphere of influence from
the enemy.
Where is your sphere of influence?
How will you take it back from the enemy?
 Once again we are amazed at the giving of our church family.
You are so faithful to bring items into the storehouse. We’re also
excited that we will soon be in our new facility and will be able to
distribute food and other items directly from there.
We will be giving food baskets again at Easter! We need your
help. We are in need of canned meats especially. This month we will
be collecting canned hams. It is so good to be able to come to the
aid of others and help them to not only get out of their circumstances
but to eventually be able to lead them to Jesus and disciple them.
The storehouse isn’t just about giving things away. It is about
discipling people after they have been fed and received Christ. This
is about giving people back their self esteem and self worth.
Please join us in this effort to feed our neighbors. The goal is to
distribute food once a quarter until we get set up at the new facility.

I Don’t Have Time

S o there I was, sitting in my chair,

minding my own business and
listening to Jennifer’s dad preach
his Sunday morning sermon. He was

somewhere in that time, I can find a few
minutes to do something for someone
other than ME!
Jesus came as a servant. He served.
He was constantly doing for others. He
was working for the Father but he was
serving the people around Him. As
Christians, we are supposed to be “Christ
like”.
Here is the challenge. I challenge you
to DO 12 “somethings” for someone
outside of your immediate family this year.
That is only averaging once a month. To
clarify, put some VERB in your body and
go and DO something to show God’s love
in a practical way.
My Heart Talk
T he other morning as I sat in my blue
recliner reading the morning paper –
Sports section, I scanned through the
list of bowl games. It was “Bowl Day” with
various teams matched up for the Fiesta
Bowl, Cotton Bowl, Gator Bowl, Sugar
Bowl, Cereal Bowl and Rose Bowl to
name just a few. I’m sorry scratch the
Cereal Bowl. What was I thinking? The
Rose Bowl at Pasadena is the most
prestigious bowl game nicknamed, “The
Granddaddy of Them All” with a payout of
$17 million.
In the early 30s, my Daddy lived in
Southern California and he took a bus to
Pasadena to try to get a ticket to the Rose
Bowl game. As he was walking from the
bus stop, a young man came running up to
him and asked him if he wanted to buy a
ticket to the game. This person shared
that he was a student at the college of one
of the teams that was playing and his
mother had become ill. He wanted
$50.00, which was a lot of money back
then and really all the money my dad had
with him except for bus fare back home.
The student was a “card person”, all my
Daddy had to do was to take the four
colored cards in with him and his student
pass. He was to use a special gate, a
fellow student (his roommate) would be
standing at the gate and would take him to
the card section, sit next to him and when
the friend put up a colored card my Daddy
was to do likewise. He assured him that it
would be easy and go off without a hitch.
The student was very apologetic
explaining he knew it was a lot of money
but he needed it to get back home.
While the school band played during half
time, the cards were choreographed to
reveal school colors, school flag, picture of
the team mascot and school insignia. It all
worked out fine and the game was an
experience of a lifetime.
Upon the strong suggestion of my
son-in-law Ted Eleftheriou I started a Blog.
At that time, I didn’t know what the term
“Blog” meant. After a number of months, I
became a Blogger. Would you believe
that I could not find this word in either of
my two dictionaries? This fact alone shall
tell you something.
I am simple-minded. I have often
stated that basic truths of scripture are
essentially simple. The truths I will be
sharing are very basic. I trust that the
Holy Spirit will open these truths so they
will give life through the living word. I am
a student of the Bible not a Bible scholar.
My attempt is to follow Jesus and be
faithful. I know that I have missed it many
times. You who know me well and have
watched my attempts to stay on course
know that I am not trying to show myself
as anything other than what I am: a weary
pilgrim seeking to find my place learning
from my mistakes as well as the
successes. I believe that I have been
called to coach or mentor, to help people
become a part of God’s restoration before
His return. My aspiration is to break things
down in digestible bite size portions so to
nourish and transform people
disenchanted with organized religion.
That I will be able to flip the right color
card to shed some light and add to the
over all picture of kingdom living.
Now get a mug of Starbucks coffee,
that’s right, right now, kick back and read
my heart talk.

What did you want to be when you were little? Have you
achieved that want?
Jeanne McDonald ~ I wanted to be a
teacher when I was little. I'd line up all
my Barbies, gather every stuffed animal
I could find and pretend they were my
students. I am now a teacher and
believe me, it was a lot easier in the
pretend Barbie days.....but nowhere
near as rewarding.
Tonya Sturgess ~ I wanted to be a
physician. I am a Dr., but I'm not an
MD.
Dawn Moses ~ I wanted to be a
teacher and a mom, and I have
achieved both, even though I am not
currently teaching in a classroom, I am
teaching my children everyday of their
lives.

Barbara Smith ~ I had no idea what I
wanted to be when I was little, but
because of my academics, I was slated
by others to be an accountant. But once
I grew up, and after many years, God
revealed to me that my desire had
always been to teach, and to be a part
of the performing arts. I guess that's
why I was always jealous of others who
were "creative" when I thought I was
not. God has completely fulfilled my
desire through my ministry and through
my family.

Amber Leslie ~ I wanted to be a nurse.
I'm not one now. I'm an orthodontic
assistant. I want to be a Zumba
instructor now.
Tom Caruthers ~ A veterinarian, but
physics and chemistry changed my
mind and I ended up a Postal Clerk.
Brenda Sims ~ A dancer or teacher. I
have not achieved either yet. I’m hoping
dreams come true in heaven!
Aimee Anderson ~ Mama says that I
wanted to be a ballerina when I was
teeny-tiny, but I don't remember that.
For as long as I could remember I've
wanted to be a singer/ actress /dancer.
I've always had dreams of being a
performer! I feel that I've achieved being
a singer to some degree, but there's
always room for improvement.
Elias James ~ I wanted more than
anything to be the White Ranger. This
was old school power rangers by the
way. When the bad guys where lame
and the Power Rangers kicked the butt
of them all easily. The White Ranger
was the coolest in my opinion and I
wanted to be just like him. Ironically
enough I kinda did achieve this. I don't
have the sound effects and I don't wear
a tight spandex suit with a morpher but
you get the gist of it.
Jeff Light ~ I wanted to be big. Yes, I
have achieved it.
Sandy Lindsay ~ When I was a child
and asked what I wanted to be when I
grew up, my first response was a
reflection of those who were purposed
with my education. I was a good
student, so my earliest response, I
recall, was that I wanted to be a
Teacher.
Upon graduation from High School, I
was asked this question again. My
response had changed. All I knew I
wanted to do then was to travel.
Today, it is not to difficult to say that I
never realized that I would teach and
travel with the Lord, but it is most
definately what I do. What an
adventure!
Barbara Mispel ~ I wanted to be a
nurse. I became a nurse’s aid when I
was 16 and realized I did not want to be
a nurse...
guessing the thought of working with
people...became a teacher instead.
Elise James~ Nothin' in the noggin...so,
no I didn't reach it...or did I?
Sonia Shearer ~ I wanted to be a
nurse, obviously that didn't happen! I
guess God had a different plan!
Brenda Petersen ~ I wanted to be so
many things when I was little, a nurse, a
mom; a dancer, and I always wanted to
be an angel (I was raised in church).
The Nurse? Not officially but I nursed
many a cut finger, colds, ear aches etc.
of my kids & grandkids! The Mom? Yes,
three sons and two step children of
whom I am very proud. A Dancer? Only
before the Lord. An Angel? My
husband thinks I am! Mostly as a child,
I wanted to be a child of God and
someday be with him and make him
proud. To be a saved child of God? I
am. To someday be with him? I pray. To
make him proud? Guess I will find out
when I get there!

Drama! Dance! Pantomime! Sign

are just a few venues that have been
incorporated into the Creative Arts
Ministry at the Warehouse Church. The
message of salvation through Jesus
Christ and the ministry of worship are key
factors in the foundation of our Creative
Arts Ministry. Many people are blessed
through the visual arts and this is why this
ministry exists. Look for future

B low the trumpet in Zion, and Recently, at a Conference I attended, a

Relationship is intimate at the “Altar”. Our
ability to hear the voice of Jesus increases
when we sit at His feet, and read His word.
This could become habit if God’ spirit was
separated from His word. God is spirit and
truth. His word is discerned by the spirit.
No spirit, no discernment.
