Purpose Statement
The focus of this study is to investigate if hypertensive patients are using garlic as an alternative
medication to hypertension and its effectiveness. The increasing cost of drugs and the chronic
use of drugs, especially hypertensive drugs, is strongly associated with addiction and negative
social consequences and connotations. As a result, people are turning to herbal medicine as
their primaryor alternative treatment for pain.
