Please, note that I have been told that this is a challenging pattern to execute. I am looking for
any errors within the design at this time. Please, if you are beginning this project, send me an
email and let me know what aspects you find difficult: diedreblake@gmail.com. Thanks!
Cast on 60 sts, arrange over three dpn as follows: Needles 1 & 3 – 15sts and Needle 2- 30sts.
Join. Cuff (Work for 1 ¼ inches or longer if desired):

Rnd 1: k1, *p1, cr2f, p1, k1; rep from * to end. End with Needle 2.

Heel Flap

Shift sts from Needle 3 to Needle 1- (30 sts on both Needles 1 & 2.) Work heel flap as follows:

Row 1: *sl 1, k1; rep from *

Row 2: sl 1, p to end
Repeat rows 1 & 2 until flap measures 2 inches, ending on a knit row.

Turning the Heel (Should be on wrong side/purl row)

Row 1: p 17, p2tog, p1, turn
Row 2: sl 1, k5, ssk, k1, turn
Row 3: sl 1, p6, p2tog, p1, turn
Row4: sl 1, k7, ssk, k1, turn
Continue working to stitch before the gap, purl/knit that stitch and the stitch following the gap
together, then purl/knit 1, and turn. Work all stitches. A total of 18 stitches left on needle. End
having worked a knit row – do not turn.

Work Rnd 65 until 10sts on Needle 2, 4sts on Needles 1 & 3. Work one (1) more round as
follows:

Needles 1 & 3: Knit

Needle 2: k1, ssk, k to last 3sts, k2tog, k1 (leaves 8sts on needle)

Knit across Needle 3, and use Needle 3 to knit across Needle 1. This leaves two needles with
8sts on each. Finish up with Kitchener Stitch. Weave in all ends.

Kitchener Stitch:
Break off yarn leaving a 6 inch tail. Thread yarn through tapestry needle. Holding dpns parallel,
*pull tapestry needle through first stitch on front needle as if to knit & slip stitch off needle, pull
yarn through next stitch on front needle as if to purl & leave this stitch on needle. Pull yarn
through first stitch on back needle as if to purl & slip off needle, pull yarn through next stitch on
back needle as if to knit & leave on needle. Repeat from * until all stitches have been worked.
