B.11.2.3.

6 Rotating Machinery (As Applicable)


CONTRACTOR shall perform Rotating Machinery Engineering including, but not
limited to the following:
1. Select equipment and auxiliaries as required to best
suit the process conditions throughout various operating
scenarios including start-up, start of run, and end of run.
2. Prepare and/or update equipment and auxiliary data
sheets as required.
3. Prepare additional PROJECT Specifications for the
subjects/items not covered by PROJECT specifications
issued by COMPANY.
4. Verify suitability of materials of construction
indicated by COMPANY, and upgrade where
required/warranted/necessary.
5. Select only proven and field tested equipment and
auxiliaries as required to best suit the process conditions
throughout various operating scenarios including start-up.
It shall be ensured that no prototype equipment are
selected for any service.
6. Prepare the electronic 3D models of packaged
equipment and mounted systems to the same level of detail
as the Project Standards, when confirmed necessary.
7. Prepare Packaged equipment auxiliary and system
P&ID’s as far as possible, in accordance with all Project
Standards, including symbology and level of detail.
8. Develop mechanical and other related calculations
applicable for machinery design and engineering.
9. Develop a coordination procedure for modification
to existing equipment.
10. Prepare and issue material requisitions and
complete evaluation.
11. Select tenders, which have potential for the highest
reliability and ease of operability with least energy
consumption.
12. Issue, for COMPANY approval, technical
evaluations and reports.
13. Prepare and issue material requisitions for
purchase.
14. Arrange kick-off meetings and pre-inspection
meetings between VENDOR, COMPANY and
CONTRACTOR.
15. Provide Supply shop inspection and issue periodic
shop test inspection reports to COMPANY.
16. Witness testing by engineering personnel of all
final shop tests (mechanical run tests, performance tests,
strength tests / complete unit tests, etc.).
17. Receive, review and approve VENDOR data,
drawings, calculations and documentation including
operating and maintenance manuals and manufacturing
data reports.
18. Define training needs for COMPANY personnel
and implement the agreed upon training plan.
19. Arrange third party dynamic simulation for surge
loops and settle out pressure for all compressors and
incorporate their recommendations.
20. Arrange audit of major (API 612, 616, 617, 618
and large API 610) equipment by a Third Party and
incorporate their recommendations.
21. Review and approve shop and SITE test
procedures.
22. Issue of final as-built data for the equipment and
auxiliaries.
23. Prepare and issue Operation and Maintenance
philosophy and any specific requirements on an equipment
tag number basis.
24. Provide of all the required utilities (including but
not limited to electrical power - normal as well as
emergency, instrument air, nitrogen, plant air, steam) in
required quantities with adequate design margins.
25. Perform the Transporting, receiving, storing,
assembling, aligning, coupling, cabling, wiring, tubing,
piping, mounting, grouting and all tasks through
mechanical completion of all the equipment and its
auxiliaries.
26. Design and supply for SITE erection all platforms
and ladders, providing superior accessibility to all parts of
the plant.
27. Supervise Lube Oil Flushing and Pipe Cleaning
activities of VENDOR equipment.
28. Pre-commissioning and SITE testing of the
equipment in EXHIBIT B.38 with CONTRACTOR’S
Design Engineers in attendance.
29. Prepare and maintain motor list.
30. Process all VENDOR concession requests,
maintain a log and gain COMPANY approval.
31. COMMISSIONING of the equipment and PLANT.
32. Prepare and issue of computer readable project
documentation (CONTRACTOR as well as VENDOR).
33. Define VENDOR’S assistance required for SITE
installation and start-up rotating equipment.
34. Prepare mechanical equipment list.
35. Prepare preservation procedure for equipment
during SITE storage and installation until
COMMISSIONING.
36. Issue Mechanical Handling Report.

B.11.2.3.17 Mechanical Handling

CONTRACTOR shall provide Mechanical handling including but not limited to the
following:
1. Develop Mechanical Handling drawings for the
entire facilities.
2. Perform all necessary calculations.
3. Prepare equipment data sheets for all mechanical
handling equipment.
4. Prepare additional PROJECT specifications for
items not covered in FEED documentation.
5. Issue for COMPANY approval technical
evaluations and reports, for the order/award of major
Mechanical Handling Equipment (e.g. cranes, hoists, etc.)
6. Receive, review and comment on all VENDOR
data, Drawings, calculations and documentation including
operating and maintenance manuals.
7. Review of SITE test procedures.
8. Issue of final as built data for all the Mechanical
Handling Equipment and auxiliaries.
9. Prepare “As-built” drawings including sizes and
routes of all installed lifting beams/devices.
10. Develop a detailed Handling Philosophy detailing
all lifts and movements, how they are to be carried out.
11. List all devices.

B.11.2.3.16 HVAC Engineering


CONTRACTOR shall provide HVAC Engineering including but not be limited to
the following:
1. Develop HVAC drawings for the entire facilities.
2. Perform HVAC heat load calculations.
3. Prepare equipment data sheets as required.
4. Prepare additional PROJECT specifications for
items not covered during FEED.
5. Issue for COMPANY approval, technical
evaluation and reports, of the order/award for the major
HVAC equipment (e.g.: chillers).
6. Receive, review and comment VENDOR data,
drawings, calculations and documentation including
operating and maintenance manuals.
7. Review of SITE test and COMMISSIONING
procedures.
8. Issue of final as-built data for the equipment and
auxiliaries.
9. Prepare and issue Operation and Maintenance
philosophy.
10. Commissioning of the equipment and plant.
11. Prepare ‘‘As-Built’’ drawings including sizes and
routes of all pipe work and ductwork.
B.11.2.3.7 Equipment Package Engineering (As Applicable)
CONTRACTOR shall perform Engineering required for Equipment Packages
including, but not limited to the following:
1. Provide material requisition for design,
manufacture, assembly, inspection and testing for all skid-
mounted packaged systems and process material handling
equipment, complete with ancillary equipment within the
package.
2. Perform pre-award and pre-inspection meetings
with VENDORS.
3. Provide material requisition for purchase and
perform technical evaluation of tenders, for COMPANY
approval.
4. Define maintenance tools with VENDOR.
5. Develop additional data sheets and specifications
as required for main and ancillary equipment.
6. Prepare the electronic 3D models of packaged
equipment and skid mounted systems to the same level of
detail as the Project Standards (for the major equipment
only).
7. Define all reference specifications including other
mechanical specifications, and piping, electrical and
instrumentation control specifications to be adopted within
the package.
8. Specify battery limit for piping, electrical and
control system for the package VENDOR.
9. Clearly define extent of shop assembly and manner
by which shop assembled system will be shipped.
10. Define VENDOR’S scope for performance tests in
shop (electrical, instrumentation, process, etc.).
11. Specify quality control/assurance requirements
needs and monitor during the entire period of performance
of works. Witness testing as necessary. Notify
COMPANY of all testing to be done.
12. Define VENDOR’S scope for performance tests at
SITE and the performance guarantee requirements.
13. Identify and check access platforms and
maintenance requirements.
14. Define additional material selection criteria and
basis of design.
15. Specify all documentation requirements to fulfill
COMPANY requirements.
16. Perform technical evaluation and
checking/approval of VENDOR data, drawings,
calculations, procedures and documentation.
17. Submit VENDOR data to COMPANY for
comments.
18. Specify NDE, welding and testing requirements.
19. Define paint and insulation requirements.
20. Before purchase verify VENDOR’S standards for
various items against PROJECT specifications and
standards for conformity and compliance. Deviations shall
be allowed only through concession request procedure.
21. Verify skid structural design and materials
specifications are fully detailed to assure VENDOR’S
conformance to the PROJECT specifications and
standards.
22. Develop a co-ordination procedure for
modification to existing equipment, if any.
23. Prepare packaged equipment, auxiliary and System
P&ID’s in accordance with all PROJECT standards,
including symbology and level of detail.
24. Define and integrate equipment control system
with Plant Control Systems such as DCS, ESD, Fire and
Gas, Machine condition and performance.
25. VENDOR to produce Instrument Loop Diagrams,
associated with the package, to same format and quality as
CONTRACTOR.
26. Integrate monitoring systems, including but not
limited to required hardware and software with serial
interface, data base and display configuration, etc.
27. Review VENDOR’S control narratives and
sequence charts to ensure compliance to DCS operation
strategy and compliance to integration with existing
systems, as applicable.
28. Clearly define software and hardware
documentation and test documents.
29. Determine VENDOR’S assistance requirement for
SITE installation and start-up of packaged systems, and
maintenance.
30. Provide Workshop and Laboratory Equip.
31. Quantify Emissions
