Diesel Engine:

Caterpillar Engine Model 3306 AWAC, 6 cylinder 4 stroke diesel engine developing
306 BHP at 1500 rpm, water cooled, IN-LINE Engine with a Bore of 137 mm and
Stroke of 165 mm suitable for Gen set application with standard accessories as
mentioned in the scope of supply for the engine. Engine confirms to as per ISO
3046 / BS 5514 / SAE J 1349 Standards.

ALTERNATOR:

“LEOROY SOMER / STAMFORD / CROMPTON“Alternator generally meeting following

specifications:

Brush less, Single bearing, Self-excited and Self-regulated, 3 Phase, 4 Wire, 415 V,
50 Hz, 0.8 Power Factor, IP 23 Enclosure, Class ‘H” Insulation, provided with
Automatic Voltage Regulator to hold the output voltage constant and provide fast
response to sudden load changes. The alternator is designed, built and tested to
comply with or better IS 4722 or equivalent standards.

BASE FRAME:

The engine and alternator are coupled through a flexible coupling and mounted on a
common base frame. The base frame is sturdy, fabricated, welded construction,
channel iron base frame designed in accordance with CATERPILLAR norms and
manufactured to CATERPILLAR standards.

FUEL TANK:
Standard scope includes a 550 Liters capacity fuel tank with mounting brackets
which is complete with level indicator, fuel inlet and outlet, air vent, drain plug, inlet
arrangement for direct filling.

BATTERY & BATTERY STAND:

EXIDE / equivalent. 2 nos. 12 V, 180 A -H, Dry & Uncharged condition with Battery
Cables and Battery stand.

PANEL

The standard panel supplied with the DG. Set is Floor Mounting, Free standing,
Cubicle type panel with Front Hinged and Rear Bolted doors. The panel is fabricated
of 14 / 16 SWG CR Sheet steel and is finished with the SEVEN TANK PROCESS. The
panel is painted using the Powder Coating process with CAT YELLOW color.
