ASSIGNMENT: CAREER PLAN

STEP: 1

Knowing more about people has always excited me. I have always been a keen observer and
a person who has handled critical situations with patience and justice. This in born ability to
socialize, manage conflicts with patience and to learn more about individuals inclined me to
learn more about human resource management. With firm determination and futuristic
approach I have opted for this program since I believe I can be an excellent performer after
learning modern human resource management tools. Performance management, job
descriptions, job design, succession planning, conflict management, remunerations,
employee attitude & aptitude, strategic human resource are some of the vast fields that I
need to learn by this course.
I am sure that once I have learned about the broader picture, I’ll be able to start a
professional career as Human Resource Executive. Multinationals and FMCGs hire young
experts as Human Resource Executive and lift them to the posts of Change Agent, Employee
Advocate, Strategic Human Resource Partners etc. Although the road to some of the
designations mentioned are tough, but a visionary approach with right attitude (the one that
the firm expects) can definitely lift me to my destination. As a HRE, I’ll be able to learn and
resolve employee’s day to day difficulties and would know more about them. These are the
people for whom I would be working on and giving them right directions. It will definitely help
me in understanding the culture of the firm and at the same time know about the knowledge,
skills and abilities that each one of them requires or possess. Gelling up with them can also
help in identification of TNA i.e. Training Need Assessment of each one of them.
Provided that I have a better opportunity in the same firm I will continue providing my
services. I will make sure to leave a long last impression of dedication, hard work & loyalty
with the firm. If I am offered a bit opportunity that suits my interest I will definitely switch the
firm to have a blend of experiences within the industry. I have a firm determination, that in a
span of 10 years down the road provided that economical conditions prevailing in the country
are satisfactory, I see my self as a Human Resource Manager or General Manager HR. I
have kept my self very precise in selecting the time frame and designation accordingly. Once
I am at this functional designation, I'll be able to manager different functional/departmental
issues and convey them to strategic partners
