IO GROUP, INC. d/b/a TITAN MEDIA, No. C 10-03647 WHA
a California corporation,
Plaintiff,
ORDER DENYING
v. MOTION TO STRIKE
Defendants.
For the Northern District of California
/

Plaintiff filed this copyright infringement action in August 2010 against 244 Does. The
complaint did not name any known defendants. In March 2011, a motion to dismiss the
complaint was filed by an anonymous litigant. The filer identified himself only by the alias
“Possible John Doe” and the email address sophistocatedjanedoe@yahoo.com (Dkt. No. 16).
Less than two weeks later, plaintiff filed a motion to strike the motion to dismiss (Dkt. No. 18).
In April 2011, the action was reassigned to the undersigned judge, and both pending
motions were terminated (Dkt. No. 24). Plaintiff renoticed its motion to strike for a hearing on
May 26. Possible John Doe, however, has not renoticed his motion to dismiss. Because the
motion to dismiss is no longer pending, plaintiff’s motion to strike that motion is DENIED AS
MOOT. If and when Possible John Doe renotices his motion to dismiss, plaintiff may renew its

motion to strike.

IT IS SO ORDERED.

Dated: April 25, 2011.
