Questionnaire Method:

A few crucial questions were asked from a set of individuals comprising Omanis and
non-Omanis. The data source targeted were students, lecturers, research scholars varying
from different institutions and universities. The total respondents were 75 in number.

1. Are private educational institutions having international tie-ups are doing well in
Muscat as compared to other GCC capitals?

2. The main objective of entrepreneurial universities are:

a. To impart quality education system

b. To improve academic support and intellectual resources

c. To inculcate international teaching standards

d. To provide a wide range of teaching and learning material

3. Do you agree that international partnership arrangements between local


institutions of higher learning and foreign universities have introduced value
added courses to a wide range of students

The limitations of the study are:

a) The author has taken only few samples, and the number of sample size should
have been more for an extensive and elaborative result.
b) The answers given by the responders could not be much accurate. It has a point of
error in it because no one can give accurate and true answers for the asked
questions.
c) The scope of the study was only limited to the Entrepreneurial Universities. Other
aspects of the education industry could have been explored.

Data Interpretation:

The data collected shows a positive response in favour of the entrepreneurial universities.
It clearly indicates that due to globalisation in the education sector, Oman has been able
to capitalise the advantage of foreign education system and is being proficient enough to
adopt upto the international standards in the education system. Respondents have
highlighted the importance of quality education system, academic support and intellectual
resource building, international teaching standards, and teaching and research based
activities as the main objectives of the entrepreneurial universities and institutions. The
crucial factors important for the success of entrepreneurial universities are highlighted are
international tie ups, quality education impartation, academic pedagogy and research
activities.
