 The ScanCool range, the inheritors and natural successors to the well known Heto brand, consists of 10
models, 5 Upright and 5 Chest models, from 100 to 660 litre capacity, available in either Economic or
Microprocessor versions. With Low Energy consumption and Low Noise levels and with High Performance

Options
alarms, set points and error codes. The controller is protected
by a 4 digit password and also has an RS485 communication
port which allows a direct interface with a computer storing
historical and current data.
There is also an internal RAM memory which can store up to
one month’s data. All the data remains stored even during to-
tal power failure. There are alarms for High/Low temperature
and Low battery as well as door alarm and blocked condenser
alarm.
A potential free contact is standard allowing connection to a
BMS system.
The cooling system is environmentally friendly using CFK and
HCFK refrigerants. “Cascade” switched air-cooled twin horse-
power compressors are used, only running 30% of the time
when at -80 °C. The condenser is cooled using an internal fan
with the larger models using 2. A unique automated dosing sys-
tem is used for filling the first and second stage with refrigerant.
The upright models have a robust single action lockable stain-
less steel roller door handle for ease of opening. The outer
door has a silicon seal which is magnetised to ensure an excel-
lent seal to frame of freezer

Each model has a stainless steel interior which prevents rust
and minimises ice formation. Easy to clean with adjustable
shelves (uprights only), the interior dimensions are suitable for
all common racking systems. Labogene can provide a full range
of racking systems and boxes.

The externally reinforced frame is covered with electroplated

zinc steel sheet. The finish is scratchproof epoxy powder coated.

There are also metal brackets to the rear which ensure that the
freezer does not block the air stream. There is a hot gas double
rim heating system on the door seals ensuring no ice build up
and reduction of vacuum. This ensures that the door/lid can
be immediately reopened after closing. An extra silicon rubber
seal on the outer door creates a total seal. The inner doors on
the upright freezers are made of stainless steel and are fully in-
sulated. The lids in the chest freezers are insulated with “Forex”.
