PHILANTHRO SCHOLARSHIP

Partner. Inspire. Change.

Thank you for taking interest in the Philanthro Scholarship. We are very excited about this program and hopeful that this
opportunity will help future leaders achieve their academic and professional goals.

Philanthro Overview

Philanthro is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit corporation whose mission is to engage young professionals in philanthropy by
connecting individuals with great causes through social, volunteer, and leadership opportunities. As such, it is extremely
important that Philanthro continues to spread its mission to younger generations of leaders.

Scholarship Overview

As part of our mission to educate future generations about their philanthropic responsibilities, we would like to recognize
and reward individuals who have had a proven track record of success, both in the classroom and community. Though a
monetary benefit is an important part of a scholarship, the Philanthro Scholarship goes well beyond a tuition
reimbursement and offers selected scholars a platform for success. Selected scholars can expect to receive the following:

Monetary Support
· Tuition reimbursement of $250 to $1000 per year for up to four years.

Professional Support
· Philanthro members are intelligent, hard-working, and well-connected - knowing the right people can be just as
valuable as possessing a certain skill set.
· Scholars will have access to individuals from a breadth of disciplines, interests, and companies. Current members are
employed by leading investment banks, consulting firms, accounting firms, entertainment companies, healthcare
companies, and non-profit organizations in Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, and Seattle.
· Many Philanthro members have chosen to pursue advanced degrees and certifications (MBA, JD, CPA, CFA, etc.),
and can provide scholars with invaluable guidance.

Personal Support
· Each scholar will be assigned a Philanthro mentor. This mentor will help the scholar meet Philanthro Scholarship
requirements and act as the intermediary between the scholar and Philanthro.

Application Requirements

The Philanthro Scholarship is available to seniors in high school and any individual pursuing an undergraduate degree at
an accredited four-year university. Scholarship(s) will be awarded to individuals who have achieved success in one or
more of the following areas: academics, community involvement, and organization leadership.

Because we expect an extremely competitive applicant pool, we ask that each applicant complete and submit all required
materials. For a copy of application materials or to submit a completed application, please email Brent Wu at
brent.wu@philanthroproductions.org. Applications will be accepted until May 31, 2011.

Please note that Philanthro members and donors, or anyone related to such persons, are not eligible for consideration.

We look forward to reviewing your application and learning about your unique background and accomplishments.
Interview invitations will be extended until June 30, 2011, and final decisions will be announced no later than July 15,
2011.
