1 This product is ADSL terminal access unit over Ethernet protocol.
It supports various ADSL standards.

3. System requirments
To get the best performance of ADSL modem, user is commen-
ded to use the following PC configuration:

Please refer to all relative information provided by the product
supplier. This information is available to ADSL Modem config-
uration. User inputs this information into corresponding position Interface Function
when installation . Power jack Insert electric power
VPI Reset MODEM RESET key. Touch lightly for three times continuously
VCI by needle ,then hardware reset .At this time, All MODEM LED
will light ,and after a while put out, and MODEM reboot and
VCMUX or LLCMUX encapsulation
reset to factory defaults.
Protocol modes (NOTE: To reset hardware, the MODEM information set at
Modem modes ANSI T1.413 G.LITE G.DMT present will be cleared, and back to factory defaults)
User name, password and password protocol Net Rj45 network line interface, connecting pc or HUB through
interface network line.

Connect ADSL MODEM with pc over the following way:
1. Login
1. If connecting separator
Phone line of separator connects with phone line jack, PHONE (1) PC network card IP address configuration

Make MODEM power on and pc require a reboot

(2) Login on web interface

Open Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, and

input Http://192.168.1.1 Modem IP address, then press
ENTER key on pc to access following interface:

2. If no separator, ADSL phone line connects with LINE access

of ADSL MODEM.
3. Make the power on, indicator LED will light and boot ADSL
MODEM .

Enter username and password, then click OK key to access web

configuration interface .
Default configuration :
IP address : 192.168.1.1
Username : admin
Password : admin

2. Home pages
After username and password entered and detected correct by
system, main pages will display as following:

Select Local ADSL protocol and relative information provided by
ADSL supplier .
Generally, ADSL supports protocols are shown as
following:
Ethernet over ATM RFC1483 Bridge EOA
PPP over Ethernet RFC2516 PPPoE
PPP over ATM RFC2364 PPPoA
RFC 1483 Router IPOA
IP over ATM RFC1577 IPOA

Now we make a brief introduction to you on RFC1483 Bridge

(EOA) and PPPoE. For more details about other protocols, please
contact MODEM supplier and get relative configuration ways .

After these information is finished ,other parameters need not

be changed, then click SUBMIT button to save them .

(2) Permanent save 6. DHCP Protocol
If user want to save these settings into modem chip, so these DHCP means dynamic host configuration protocol.
settings will not be lost after turning pc on again. User must
enter management page to save them. (1) DHCP server

Under the current page, press Submit key to enter.
Select Management page and click Commit&reboot button .
DHCP server can assign automatically IP address to DHCP
client through modem. If using single pc connecting with a mod-
em, it is not necessary to use DHCP server, but pc network card
TCP/IP protocol configuration is different .If many pc connecting
with a modem to share network line ,DHCP server is indispens-
able.
Before changing ADSL modem IP address or lack of IP address
at present, user should renew DHCP server range .

Select DHCP server from LAN and enter DHCP server

configuration interface, see the figure below:
Click Commit button to store configuration.
Click Reboot button to restart modem.

NOTE:
1. If login to internet by 1483 Bridge of static IP address ,
please input IP address and other information provided
by ADSL supplierinto pc network card .
2. If in dial-up mode, after configurating ADSL modem, then
install the third dial-up software and connect it with
Internet (for example: Eternet 300,EternetT500, WinPoET).
Under WinXP, user can use it's built-in dial-up software .
Refer to information on page 20 for more details .

Click icon to delete current DHCP server range.
Click Add button to renew DHCP server range .
NOTE: Only write start IP and end IP address. Other infor-
mation need not to be changed .
Select DHCP mode from LAN option and enter DHCP mode
interface, then select DHCP server item from DHCP mode
option, see the figure below:
Save all configurations with the same way which is used in
permanent save section
NOTE: If want to change modem IP address ,after changing
it, save them together .

(2) DHCP Replay
Select DHCP relay option from LAN to make modem as reapea-
ter, so pc gets a dynamic IP address from ISP. This configuration
is suitable for RFC1483 dynamic IP address connecting internet.
Select DHCP relay item from LAN option and enter DHCP
relay configuration interface as shown in figure below:
Select eth-0 option ,then click Add button at right side .
Click Submit button
Select DHCP mode from LAN option and enter DHCP mode
interface ,then select DHCP Replay item .see the figure
below:

Save all current configurations in the same way which is
used in permanent save section .
NOTE: This configuration is finished ,set pc network
card IP address as IP dynamic assignment .
(3) No DHCP
Select DHCP mode from LAN option and enter DHCP mode
interface, then select NONE option .
Save the configuration in the same way which is used in
permanent save section .
NOTE: Make pc network card IP address and modem IP add-
ress in the same network field (e.g.192.168.1.X)
Change pc gateway for modem IP address (e.g.192.
168.1.1)
Enable DNS and configurate DNS server well .

Troubleshooting
Chapter 4: Troubleshooting
1. Problem 1 : All indicator LED do not light .
Solution : Check if the power cord is connected properly.
2. Problem 2 : ACT indicator LED do not light .
Solution :
Check if network line is connected with pc network card inter-
face or HUB /Switch properly .
Check if pc or HUB is in use state and works normally .
If ADSL connecting with single pc, please use parallel line ;
If ADSL connecting with HUB or Switch, please use double
line .
3. Problem 3 : LINK LED do not light
Solution : Check if phone line is connected with ADSL se-
parator and ADSL LINE interface properly .
4. Problem 4: LINK LED is lighting ,but not login internet
Solution : Check if VPI/VCI is correct ,as well as username ,
password.
5. Problem 5: PC does not access modem web pages .
Solution :
1) Check if pc can communicate with modem normally .
The flow of the work is as following :
Click Start Run button on pc desktop, using LAN IP ad-
dress of Ping modem item in Ping command .
Take a example: Ping 192.168.1.1(modem IP address).

If Ping do not be communicated ,please check if the network Accessories : Connect using a dial-up modem Exception for
is suitable for modem and each line is connected properly . methods above, under WIN XP system, User can create dail-up.
The flow of work is like this:
2) Check if pc IP address and modem IP address is in the same
network field . Firstly, Click Start all programes Accessories
If network card IP address is appointed ,make pc IP address Communication Create connecting wizard, then display
and modem IP address be in the same network field (e.g. 192. following window :
168.1.X) .Set gateway as modem IP address (192.168.1. 1) .
If network card IP address is automatically assigned, check if
modem DHCP server is on state ,and if IP address appointed
by DHCP and modem IP address is in the same network field.
The flow of the work is as following :
Click Start Run button on pc desktop, using WINIPCFG
command to view network card IP address .

6. Problem 6 : PC can not open web page .

Solution : Check if modem configuration is correct.

7. Problem 7: After automatic configurating, don't login internet ,

no reentry configuration interface .
Solution: Press RESET key for 3 times continuously, then
reset parameters by application program or entering WEB
configuration interface. IP address is 192.168.1.1 .

8. Problem 8: The application program speed is error.

Solution: Check if the line is connected properly .Please click
Refresh key to refresh latest modem configurations.

Secondly, Select Connect to INTERNET option, and then click
Next.

Thirdly, Select Set up my connection manualy option, and then Fifthly, Input ADSL (at random) in ISP name column .
click Next.

Forthly, Select Broadband connecting with username and

password option, and then click Next key . Sixthly, Input ADSL account and password, then click Next key.

Create dial-up under WIN XP Factory defaults

Eighthly XP will create dial-up icon at the desktop, user can

double click this icon to connect to the internet.

Seventhly, select Add a shortcut to this connecting to my

desktop, then click Finish button. See the figure below :

The following information is ADSL MODEM factory parameter ,

please refer to them for more details :

Modem IP address 192.168.1.1

PVC configuration :
VPI0/VCI0 : 0/35
VPI1/VCI1 : 8/35
VPI2/VCI2 : 8/81

If want to reset to factory default, in modem working state,press

RESET continuously three times with needle on rear board, the
ADSL modem hardware will return to factory defaults .
