3. System requirments
To get the best performance of ADSL modem, user is commen-
ded to use the following PC configuration:

Please refer to all relative information provided by the product
supplier. This information is available to ADSL Modem config-
uration. User inputs this information into corresponding position Interface Function
when installation . Power jack Insert electric power
VPI Reset MODEM RESET key. Touch lightly for three times continuously

will light ,and after a while put out, and MODEM reboot and

Connect ADSL MODEM with pc over the following way:
1. Login

Open Microsoft Internet Explorer, Netscape Navigator, and


input Http://192.168.1.1 Modem IP address, then press
ENTER key on pc to access following interface:

After username and password entered and detected correct by
system, main pages will display as following:

Select Local ADSL protocol and relative information provided by
ADSL supplier .
Generally, ADSL supports protocols are shown as
following:
Ethernet over ATM RFC1483 Bridge EOA
PPP over Ethernet RFC2516 PPPoE
PPP over ATM RFC2364 PPPoA
RFC 1483 Router IPOA
IP over ATM RFC1577 IPOA

Now we make a brief introduction to you on RFC1483 Bridge


(EOA) and PPPoE. For more details about other protocols, please
contact MODEM supplier and get relative configuration ways .

After these information is finished ,other parameters need not


be changed, then click SUBMIT button to save them .

Select DHCP server from LAN and enter DHCP server

Click Commit button to store configuration.
Click Reboot button to restart modem.

NOTE:
1. If login to internet by 1483 Bridge of static IP address ,
please input IP address and other information provided
by ADSL supplierinto pc network card .
2. If in dial-up mode, after configurating ADSL modem, then
install the third dial-up software and connect it with
Internet (for example: Eternet 300,EternetT500, WinPoET).
Under WinXP, user can use it's built-in dial-up software .
Refer to information on page 20 for more details .

Chapter 4: Troubleshooting

1. Problem 1 : All indicator LED do not light .


Solution : Check if the power cord is connected properly.

2. Problem 2 : ACT indicator LED do not light .


Solution :
Check if network line is connected with pc network card inter-

Troubleshooting Create dial-up under WIN XP

6. Problem 6 : PC can not open web page .


Solution : Check if modem configuration is correct.

7. Problem 7: After automatic configurating, don't login internet ,


no reentry configuration interface .
Solution: Press RESET key for 3 times continuously, then
reset parameters by application program or entering WEB
configuration interface. IP address is 192.168.1.1 .

8. Problem 8: The application program speed is error.


Solution: Check if the line is connected properly .Please click
Refresh key to refresh latest modem configurations.

Secondly, Select Connect to INTERNET option, and then click
Next.

Thirdly, Select Set up my connection manualy option, and then Fifthly, Input ADSL (at random) in ISP name column .
click Next.

Forthly, Select Broadband connecting with username and


password option, and then click Next key . Sixthly, Input ADSL account and password, then click Next key.

Create dial-up under WIN XP Factory defaults

Eighthly XP will create dial-up icon at the desktop, user can


double click this icon to connect to the internet.

Seventhly, select Add a shortcut to this connecting to my


desktop, then click Finish button. See the figure below :

The following information is ADSL MODEM factory parameter ,


please refer to them for more details :

Modem IP address 192.168.1.1


PVC configuration :
VPI0/VCI0 : 0/35
VPI1/VCI1 : 8/35
VPI2/VCI2 : 8/81
VPI3/VCI3 : 0/32
Encapsulation: LLCMUX

Create dial-up under WIN XP
Protocol configuration : RFC 1483 Bridge
Modem mode : MULTI(AUTO)
DHCP configuration :
DHCP server : ON
DHCP server range
Start IP address : 192.168.1.3
Termination IP address : 192.168.1.34

If want to reset to factory default, in modem working state,press


RESET continuously three times with needle on rear board, the
ADSL modem hardware will return to factory defaults .
