INTRODUCTION [Omar]
It has been reported everywhere in the newspaper that lack of exercise,
uncontrolled diet and unhealthy life styles are the main contributors to obesity,
stress and other serious illness.

Therefore, it is important for the staff to be fit and healthy and be more
conscious about the importance of their health and fitness level so that they can be
more productive and competent staff to the organization.

PROGRAMME SYNOPSIS [Sha]


This programme provides the participants with a correct understanding and
knowledge of the importance of health and fitness in the workplace and in our daily
life.

Apart from stressing on the importance to stay fit and healthy, this
programme will also teach us how to plan your exercise and undergo the correct
diet programme.

Furthermore, the programme will also explore the area of health and
diseases, fitness check-up and test discussion on healthy diet and nutrition, our BMI
and also the suitable physical exercise for the participants.

METHODOLGY [Zarah]
The programme will have a variety of approaches such as short lecture,
group discussion and outdoor activities.

OBJECTIVES

At the end of the programme, the participants will be able to:


• Understand and absorb the correct information related to health
and fitness
• Develop a comprehensive and systematic diet programme and
physical exercise plan
• Practice and demonstrate the practical thing learnt during the
programme in real life.

All staff of UPM especially staff of the Faculty of Educational Studies. The committee
is targeting 50 participants for this 1-day programme.

2.30 – 4.30 pm Workshop on Balance Diet, Nutrition and
Appropriate Exercise Programme
4.30 – 5.00 pm Evening tea-break and Solat
5.00 – 5.30 pm Senamrobik
5.30 – 5.45 pm Closing and Certificate Presentation Ceremony
