Don’t be superstitious,
Nothing is constant;
Be prepared to accept the new
Be prepared to change
Don’t be a believer
For belief is foolishness.
***
Don’t be mystic
For there is nothing mystic
If you are mystic,
You are missing the real.
Take everything as it is
Nothing beyond you could find
If you are behind the beyond
You will miss the happiness of Gathi
You will miss me, miss your life
***
It is not a belief
For I ask you to unbelieve
Believe the Marga
For it is ever changing
And it is the truth;
Not be a believer
Then you are in Gathi
***
In solitude
You will feel swinging weightless in the air
You will feel flown
To the Heavens of Happiness,
You will get the wings of intuition,
You will feel the dance and tune
Of Desire,
You will become the great Creator Artist
And you will being to create.
You will create the world of wonders
You will feel one with me
You will feel everything loveable
You will being to dance
To the tune of Desire.
Part II
Gathi Natanam, the Bliss Dance
I am the Desire,
Desire is inexplicable,
Ever existing, all pervading and invisible.
***
***
I dance in the form of a rose,
And the rose exists.
I dance so the Sun exists,
I dance so the Moon exists,
I dance in the form of a cobra,
And the cobra exists.
I dance and accidentally exist.

He tries in vain
To overcome death
For that he looks forward
To his future generations
He arms his future generations
To struggle.
To overcome the
Inevitability of death
He dreams of a re-birth.
***
To conquer death,
To hide his anxieties,
To boost his ego,
He creates the almighty
And the benevolent God.
He creates God
In his own image.
His God is
The embodiment of his ego.
His God is
The embodiment of his dreams.
His God is
The embodiment of his ultimate ambitions.
***
***
He fought wars,
And decried wars.
He invented nuclear bombs,
Deplored nuclear weapons.
All he did
Is to establish his ego,
To satisfy his ego,
All he did to become immortal
But of no use, man is mortal.

His decisions
Land him in trouble;
Again he struggles
To land in trouble.
Man is free
To choose his life,
Man is free
To take decisions;
Anticipating an accidental death
He can take any decision
Man’s freedom is only
To that extent
And to that extent
Man is free.
***
Leave the way of struggle,
Leave ego,
Leave your image Gods,
Come to Gathi,
Experience the bliss of Gathi
Gathi is full of accidents and wondors
Enjoy thrill and freshness of Gathi.
Come be with me
I will be with you
I am the bliss
I am the Desire
I am the Gathi.

Life Divine

Full of wonders
Filled with ecstasy and accidence
Beyond expectations and hope
And it is as it is unpredictable
And it is as it is ecstatic.

Sorrows and miseries
Are also inherent
Part of life Divine
Evade not but face it,
Elude not but encounter,
Face it, feel it and live it
Happiness, sorrows and miseries
Are experiences
Experience and find it
Ecstatic and amazing.
Be a spectator, a beholder
Witness the life Divine being part of it
See the life Divine unpredictable
Pursuing adventurously
Simply live, experience and behold
Sorrows and miseries
Will begin to smile on you
Feel the other dimensions
Of sorrows and miseries
Feel the wonder of life Divine
Feel the life Divine’s
Fleeting parade
Feel the thrill of living
Accidentally and ecstatically.

Dual World
Dual thy sense
Dual thy world
Dual thy knowledge
And thee see everything dual
But life Divine is non-dual
Neither I nor you,
Only the life Divine
Singular it flows.
Duality is dialectical
And hence the clash
And ‘you’ and ‘others’
Are hell .
In ‘you’ there is ‘I’
And ‘I’ and ‘you’ and ‘others’
All hell
The dual world is hell
And the earthly years are hell
All because of ‘you’ and ‘I’.

Part IV
Ways of Life Divine
Go to a lonely place,
Where nothing disturbs you
Be it your room or somewhere out
Sit as you please,
Close your eyes,
See the blue within you,
See your mind, a flying bird,
Let the bird fly into the deep blue sky
Go high and high
As high as you can
Look down,
Down there is the living world,
The present,
Watch and see it in detail
See and feel it
Fly back to the past
Fly back through the time to the past
Watch and see everything
From your safe height
See your young days
See your college days
See your childhood
See you as an infant
See your birth
See your life before birth
See, watch and experience
Experience the flow of your life
As you reach the present again,
Fly forward to the future, the unknown,
Cautiously, seeing, watching
And experiencing your future,
Fly forward slowly
Move slowly
And live in advance your life
There will be no end
As the future is endless
Again fly back to the present,
Re-visiting your future,
Reach the present
From there again fly
As high as you can
And at the heights
Nest your safe nest
The bird’s safe nest
Stay there and relax
Look back and fore and down
At a time see the past,
Present and future
You can, because
You are at such a height
See the life in totality,
See the life in whole,
Feel and experience the totality,
The wholesomeness
Rest in your safe and revealing nest
And relax
Rest there as long as you wish
Then slowly fly down
Down to the earthly present
Enter the deep blue within,
Relax, relax, relax
And slowly open your eyes,
See the earthly present.
Go to your nest
Any time you wish
And see the earthly life in total
From such a height
In a few days wonders will occur
For life Divine is full of wonders
One day you may be enlightened
This is the mother of
All natural Yogas.
Ikshu Yoga
Yoga scanning
In solitude
Sit as you like
See the bird in blue within
Go to your safe nest
Sit and see your body
See you from within
Scan your body
From head to toe within
As you scan each part,
Relax the muscles,
Release all stresses,
Fill each space with the blue
Feel the tension removed
Scan your brain, head, face,
Neck, shoulders, chest and so on
Leave not a single spot unscanned
Fill every spot with the blue within
As you reach your toe
Relax, withdraw the blue within
Converge it
Rest in your safe nest
Return to the earthly solitude
Open your eyes,
See the surroundings
You will feel life wonderful
And you may become enlightened
For life Divine is full of wonders
The key is in unfolding the self.

-000-
That is what happens to us human mortals steeped in duality. Rare are those who
set out on the search for truth. Rarer are they who realize or even begin to realize it.
Rarer still are those who can communicate what they experience in the depth of their
soul. Because, language is a product of the essential duality of existence. The unified
experience scatters into fragments the moment it is touched upon by language. That is
why the seers of the orient are by nature Munis, the silent ones. Saint Shri Ramakrishna
Paramahamsa has put it beautifully: The bee stops humming when it begins to sip the
honey of the flower!
The best among poets who have transcended the apparent reality and reached the
‘unapparent’ (courtesy P.B. Shelley) have evolved a language of their own. One can’t
read Sri Aurabindo unless one is fairly familiar with his special terminology of the
integral yoga. Rilke and Yeats have their own symbology, their own idiom. They are not
ashamed of fathering fresh words with rooted connotations.
Ichhanusari is on the line of that endless search, probing into the foundations of
existence. That he is competent for the task is evinced by any passage on the following
leaves. Yet, full communication with his muse is out of the common man’s reach. Gita,
Ichha, Gathi, Marga etc. are terms known even to the casual reader in India; but they
acquire a special mark of meaning in his hands. The poet knows, of all people, very well
about the trait of his work and he leaves a word of caution. But those who are of sharp
sensitiveness and warm sympathy will feel amply rewarded after reading through his
lines. They carry the fragrance of supreme sincerity in artistic expression. One can’t fail
to distinguish the ring of the true metal in his coinage, especially so in our age of
counterfeits. I wish he were no alone in his Marga, his path of seeking and finding and
singing about the ultimate goal of like.
A search for truth, secret; a search that revealed that search would bear no fruit; an
insight into the origin and existence, it is written as the revelations of the almighty itself.
‘Desire’ is not used in the verbal sense. The word ‘Ichha’ as well is not used in
the Upanishad sense. Each and every word used in this text has its own meaning which
one can derive from this book itself.
Before start reading, get rid of all prejudices and perceptions you have. All the
terms such as Gathi, Ichha, Desire, Bliss, Marga have their own meaning within the
frame of this text. Whatever meaning they have and you know already is of least
importance and significance. One should not approach this work with the prejudices one
has.
Read with an ignorant, receptive mind. You will get new insight, you will
understand and you will feel the truth. With a preoccupied mind you will begin to
compare and contrast and will be confused. And as a result you will miss the real
meaning and sense.
