» Of these 105 names, 27 were placed on the Books as Candidate Bachelors, in accoi
dance with the transitional privileges granted to women.
—
Note. It was customary in previous yeajs to add any names place
on the Books'after January 1 while this volume was in preparation bu ;
such names did not include those of Students who passed the Entranc
Examination after the new year had commenced.
Had this custom been followed in the present instance, the numbe
on the Books would be given as 1120 = 1089 + 31.
Twice in each year the number reaches a maximiim, viz., just befor
the 1st Saturday in June, and just before the 1st Saturday in Decembei
This maximum for December, 1906, was 1289 = 1089 + 243 - 43.
The above number 1089 does not, of course, include the names c
Students in the Medical School who have not paid the last half-yearl
Arts Fee.
