Do not hurt
with your words, for the Divine dwells in every heart.
• The whole purpose why Buddha gave a begging bowl to the Bhikkhus
was to crush the ego and to make them realise that there is someone
who is taking care of them!
• Freedom is when you realise that all states of mind are temporary.
You are consciousness… untouched by the states of mind!
• When you see things are “ happenings” and not “doings” that is when
you get liberated!
• When there is love without respect, you don’t take anything seriously.
When there is respect without love, the feeling of nearness is lost.
Both love and respect can find space only in Divinity or the Guru.
• Food, atmosphere and place – these are the 3 things that effect your
nature.
• We never drop our bodies, it is always that our bodies that drop us.
When you can drop your body and mind, then you are with God. Body
dropping you is death; you dropping the body is meditation.
• The root of your conflict with people is I : I like this; I don’t like
this… and so on. This resistance and stiffness doesn’t is not allowing
you to bow down to the supreme divinity in yourself. The small mind
wants to be unique, but it does not know that it is already unique!
• Just a little tilt in the consciousness – and all the barriers will fall off!
• Your mind is like a windmill, it keeps on rotating even after the wind
has stopped blowing.
• Take whatever comes in your life with both hands. This is what
crucification means!
• Don’t let little things irritate you! This is MAYA – the illusion. The
world is there to cause you irritation – and it is good that it caused
you this irritation – this is for your growth. Otherwise, you would have
remained stuck !!
• Behind your anger is your desire. Either you hang on to your desire, or
you hang on to your anger.
• Fear is love standing upside down! A child clinging onto its mother –
this could be either because of love or fear.
• People pray when they are unhappy. This is escapism. The supreme
form of prayer is, when you pray in happiness and joyfulness, that is
when you express your gratitude.
• Be with the pinch of the guilt, not the guilt itself. The pinch will push
you to move on. Don’t get stuck with the guilt.
• A mistake is a mistake, neither yours nor mine. Your means anger, mine
means guilt.
• When you do good to people, don’t think about their responses – let
them carry their own cross !
• Your bondage is when you are stuck with your own viewpoints.
• Luck means going beyond the small mind – beyond the capacity of the
small mind. The heart always makes everything BIG… a poetry comes
out of the heart. It is an exaggeration, it decorates. The moment you
try to analyse it with the mind, it is gone!
• We take the negatives to the heart and the positives to the head.
Thus, we exaggerate the negatives, and analyse the positives! When
someone says, I love you, we start to analyse and start doubting. But
when someone says, I hate you, we don’t doubt this! We immediately
believe this!! We need to switch… we need to see the positives with
the heart and the negatives with the head.
• Be a Gopi – a drunk. You can never complain if you are drunk. One who
looks at the world through the heart – he is a Gopi.
• Bowing down doesn’t mean the physical act of bowing down only; it is
recognition of the divinity in everyone, everybody.
• Your sorrow is because your mind is stuck to the same thought, same
desire or same situation.
• Take any thought and analyse it minutely. Word by word, and then the
thought will disappear.
• Observe people : push one button and see how they behave; push
another button and see how their behaviour changes – it is all a big
amusement park.
• Weigh your words before you speak – they are the pearls of your life
– don’t waste them on useless things!
• Don’t see the intention behind the mistake. See it as their expression
of feelings.
