organization. Maximized shareholder value by being 1 of 4-member team responsib
le for sale of Company, at industry record multiplier. Key business partner res
ponsible for increasing ROS from 1% to 6% in three-year period, in highly compet
itive market.
- Directed extensive labor relations activities including NLRB charges, strike
plan preparations and organization drive. Averted Corporate Campaign devised by
Teamsters and negotiated 7 labor contracts in 16 months, (5 as chief spokespers
on), all resulting in no work disruptions.
- Built first professional Human Resources Department of 13 employees.
- Obtained $200M state grant used to design and implement technical training an
d evaluation program. Program results included significant increase in skills o
f Maintenance Dept. elimination of preventative maintenance backlog, lower turno
