FUN AT PAINTBALL COMPETITION AT OLYMPIA COLLEGE

The IT students of Olympia College, Penang campus had a fun time at the Paintball Competition
organized by their club, ITec recently.

This competition was held to promote unity and teamwork among the students as that is one of
the important skills when they leave the college to start their career.

“Besides the lectures and tutorials conducted in the lecture halls, we equally emphasize the
importance of the soft skills to our students so that they will be the Employer’s Choice as our
college slogan says” said the club advisor Ms.Neesha Jothi.

Through exciting competitions like this we can establish a proactive attitude among our student’s
as well as promote a unity in team amidst cultural differences, this way learning would be more
interactive and optimal, she added.

Olympia College ‘s Diploma in Information Technology (DIT) programme has been designed to meet the
demands of the increasing job market for I.T specialists. There a demand today for IT experts who really
know their job.

The primary objective of the Diploma in Information Technology programme is to develop students with
a strong, broad-based education in computing as a scientific and technological discipline. In this
programme, students will gain an appreciation of the foundations of computation, an understanding of the
structure of programming languages and the skills to put these concepts and technologies into practice.

universities or University of Information Technology and Management (UITM) Poland, Europe at an
affordable fee.
Olympia College’s cutting edge and industry oriented Diploma in Business Studies programme will equip
students with the right professional skills required by the multi-national corporations. Students will be
expected to participate, debate, analyse and appreciate the thinking of the various business leaders and
their leadership styles.

Olympia also offers the management oriented Diploma in Business Management programme which was
developed in consultation with CEO’s, Senior Managers and the Malaysian Qualifications Agency
(MQA) to help fill the gap for competent middle managers in the industry.

The graduates from the Diploma in Business Management/Business Studies programmes will also be

Higher National Diploma (HND) from Edexcel, UK.

This guarantees entry into 2nd year of an undergraduate degree locally or to over 200 universities in UK,
USA and Australia. Students who want an European exposure can also completed their degree through
the University of Information Technology and Management (UITM), Poland at very affordable fees.
