During this period employed as project manager/senior scientist for
environmental assessment and remediation projects throughout the
Southeastern states. Worked on numerous projects at railroad and
industrial facilities; provided on-site expertise during the emergency
response at several catastrophic train derailments involving the
release of hazardous wastes; and completed an eleven year long project
at a major hazardous waste disposal facility. Specifically:
* Developed the project approach, budget, and proposals for new

property owners.
* Managed project budgets, scheduling, and supervision of staff to
ensure project success.
* Completed advanced field work and modeling.

* Characterized RCRA hazardous wastes and coordinated their
disposal.

During this time employed as a staff level hydrogeologist involved in
many assessment and remediation projects throughout the Mid-Atlantic
and Northeastern states; worked on projects at petroleum terminals,
retail facilities, refineries, industrial facilities, and hazardous
waste disposal facilities. Specifically:
 * Supervised drilling operations and completed well logging.
* Collected soil, groundwater, surface water, and sediment samples
for laboratory analysis.
* Completed aquifer tests including slug tests and pumped drawdown
tests.
* Operated and maintained mechanical remediation systems.
* Prepared technical reports.
