Certain frequently asked questions and clarifications

Q 1. Certain trained Graduates have not studied certain subjects in their undergraduate level or
even in +2 level, then how can they answer questions in those subjects in APTET?
Ans: The syllabus was framed upto class X level keeping in view;
i. G.O.Ms.No.51, Edn dated:16.04.2011
ii. NCTE New Delhi guidelines on TET
Q 2. Whether a candidate applying for both paper-I and paper-II would be allotted same exam
centre for TET.
Ans: a. Yes.
b. If the candidates are appearing for both Paper- I & Paper-II they need to pay only
Rs.300/- and submit only one application.
Q 3. Whether a candidate applying for both paper-I and paper-II would be eligible for SGT or
S.A post in TRT.
Ans: Director, TET deals with TET exam only. The eligibility criteria for recruitment will be
separately notified by the Commissioner & Director of School Education at the time of TRT.
Hence this question is not relevant to Director, TET.
Q 4. It is stated that candidates now pursuing Teacher Education course during 2010-11 are also
eligible for TET. Is it correct? If so is there any separate eligibility criteria for such pursuing
candidates.
Ans: Yes, the candidates pursuing Teacher Education course during 2010-11 are also eligible to
apply for TET, July 2011.
The eligibility criteria for candidates pursuing Teacher Education course is same as that notified
for candidates possessing minimum qualifications on 20.05.2011 except the following.
Candidates of General Community pursuing B.Ed during 2010-11, should have secured
minimum 50% marks in BA/B.Sc/B.Com and or Master’s Degree unlike 45% in respect of the
candidates in BA/B.Sc./B.Com and or Master’s Degree who did B.Ed during 2009-10 or before.
However for both categories, for candidates belonging to SC,ST, BC, PH minimum % of marks
in BA/B.Sc/B.Com and or Master’s Degree will be 40% only (instead of 50% or 45% as the case
may be).
Q 5. Certain candidates are approaching TET cell with a petition that by oversight they have
submitted incorrect information in the application form. In such case should they submit another
application form?
Ans: After filling of the application the candidate is allowed to have ‘Preview’ of the application
before submission. In case any mistakes are found in the ‘Preview’, candidate can click ‘EDIT’
button, correct the mistake and again see the ‘Preview’.
Candidates should take care to check and recheck the entries in each of the fields before clicking
the ‘Submit’ button. Only after complete satisfaction of ‘Preview’ the candidate should click the
‘Submit’ button.
Inspite of such ‘Preview’ and correction of the entries, still if the Candidates find that they have
submitted incorrect information, it may be noted that they need not submit another application.
They can fill their grievances about incorrect entries only in a ‘Complaint Box’ which is
being hosted on its webpage http://aptet.cgg.gov.in . No other form of communication is
accepted except lodging of complaints in the ‘Complaint Box’ on the webpage
http://aptet.cgg.gov.in.
Candidates can submit their complaints regarding incorrect filling of application form in this box
from 30.05.2011.
