Developed and directed a recruiting organization of the fifth largest public acc
ounting firm that took the consulting group from $80M to 150M in less than 4 ye
ars. Hired more than 800 professional staff members, including some who were de
ployed internationally. Developed recruiting strategies with focus on innovativ
e sourcing through traditional and nontraditional avenues with the focus on cost
containment.
* Led development of an employment branding strategy that included print and
online advertising and collateral materials.

ix directors and nine managers, led an organization comprised of 138 recruiting
personnel. Developed the sourcing strategy and resource deployment practices re
sulting in 3300 hires, including 1200 campus hires nationwide. Reduced the cost
per hire by 22% and while simultaneously reducing the size of the recruiting sta
ff by 10%. Developed and deployed a strategic plan that positioned Ernst &Young
to be the employer of choice in their industry.

Director, Employment Strategies
Planned and directed the implementation of two critical strategies to initiate t
he transformation of decentralized recruiting model to a business-wide (centrali
zed) model. Focused first on the introduction of contemporary systems processes
to gain efficiencies and cost reductions across this $900M international inform
ation technologies consulting firm. Planned and successfully implemented Resumi
x -- an automated, centralized, staffing/recruiting database -- in less than fiv
e months. Also oversaw the selection and transition to a common recruitment com
munications firm.
* Piloted the installation and implementation of Resumix,a PC-based database,
at eight sites with thirty trained users. All business units and sites were dec
entralized from corporate support and control.
* Identified and hired the technical and administrative staff needed to support
the installation, implementation, training, and maintenance of Resumix.
* Created an "inside users" guide book to support training and quick problem sol
ving by the in-house Resumix user community.
* Facilitated the identification of the evaluation criteria/process used to iden
tify a new recruitment communications firm. Managed the integration of the new
firm into AMS and built consensus for a new look and image that supported a cen
tralized recruitment advertising campaign.
NOVELL, INC., New Jersey & United Kingdom 1993-1996

Directed all human resources activities for multiple sites in England, Ireland,
South Africa, and the Nordic Countries for this $2B international software-manuf
acturing firm. Managed Eastern Region integration and assimilation of the then
newly acquired Unix System Labs from AT&T Bell Labs (500 employees in four locat
ions).
* Established a recruiting/staffing function that resulted in producing the most
diversified work force ever assembled within Novell.
* Developed and implemented benefits and pension plan for a start-up manufac
turing and fulfillment center in Ireland.
* Managed the transition of all support functions from Cape Town to Johannesburg
, South Africa including human resources, IT, finance, customer care and fulfill
ment.
* Managed all employee relations issues for staff located in Ireland and South A
frica.
* Planned and managed restructuring of South African operation including plann
