Developed new corporate design standards for laboratories,clean rooms, and vivar
iums.
Established the basis of design comply with new ISO 14644 standards
Established the basis of design for a new research laboratory campus with total
area in excess of 800,000 SF. Design has achieved significant energy reduction f
or the campus.
The campus includes a central utility building, vivarium, and office support spa
ce. High efficiency HVAC systems were incorporated into the project resulting i
n fan horsepower reduction by over 750 HP.
Utilizing pressure independent control valves results in significant energy savi
ngs.
The original chilled water design was based on a tertiary pump system. The pres
sure independent control valves allowed us to eliminate the tertiary pump system
s all together.
