Aims and Objectives for your project:

1. To create a network of students, teachers and school and community leaders within the four
countries who are committed to working towards excellence for ALL STUDENTS in their schools,
regardless of their ethnic origin, age, disability, religion or other beliefs, gender or sexual orientation in
line with the EU diversity standards.

2. To generate an understanding of the values and actions that can support individuals and groups of
people to achieve excellence regardless of their social background, culture or country of origin and
create a dynamic in support of Global Citizenship (Education for Sustainable Development and Global
Citizenship - ESDGC).

3. Through leadership training, to broaden this network and further increase awareness of pupils,
teachers, school and community leaders of issues relating to inclusion and excellence and of the
differing approaches to inclusion and diversity throughout the partner countries

4. To work together in partnership groups towards the creation of a visual representation (a map,
chart, passport or portfolio) illustrating how all pupils can be valued and considered as excellent
regardless of their social background, culture or country of origin.

Overall project theme, framework, activities and summary:

The overall project theme for both clusters is “Excellence for all” as expressed by pupils in all 4
countries through sport, music and dance, creative or digital arts. “Excellence for all” is about the
importance of recognising that every human being is valuable and ever human being is different. This
is true of every culture and of every country. The project will explore the different ways in which people
can excel regardless of their background, culture or their country of origin. Although the project will not
focus exclusively on sport, both clusters will refer throughout to the Olympic values of excellence,
respect and friendship:

Excellence – taking part and giving your best in life

Respect – fair play, knowing your own limits, taking care of yourself and the environment
Friendship – learning to value and understand each other despite any differences

The key project output will be the creation of a visual representation (a map, chart, passport or
portfolio) illustrating how all pupils can be valued and considered as excellent in different ways.

All the project activities and exchanges around “Excellence for all” via eTwinning, as well as the Young
Leader training, will help pupils explore the theme fully in an international context. Throughout the year,
pupils will develop their own opinions and strong voice on why it is important to value and support a
diverse approach to excellence and an inclusive approach to global citizenship.
