This role is for a Senior Engineer to participate in the core team of this EPCM and who will build

and develop a team of Piping Engineers. You will have strong people skills, can share knowledge effectively and work well in a small team. You have experience in all areas of Piping Engineering and understand piping stress, pumps, valves, pressure vessels - and you are able to (theoretically) place static engineering equipment in a package or a project. You are not a specialist in one area but are interested in and wellversed in all areas of Piping Engineering. Likely you have worked in a mixture of EPC, operators, consulting companies and manufacturers. The role is ideal for an Engineer who has worked their way through the ranks and is now looking for more diversity and more responsibility. Due to outstanding growth they are seeking to appoint an experienced Senior Piping Engineer to our clients Perth based team. The scope of work will include but not be limited to the following areas; Development and maintenance of pipe specifications; Conduct pipe flow calculations; Conduct pipe stress calculations; Selection of pipe materials of construction; Design, construction and commissioning of mineral processing plants; Operation of mineral treatment facilities; Preparation of feasibility studies for process plants; Development of engineering designs from process test work and pilot plant data; Ensuring that mechanical and piping engineering designs produced by the company are efficient, safe, cost effective, innovative and meeting the needs of the client and project; Carrying out detailed mechanical and piping engineering design on projects as required; Being involved in the preparation of feasibility studies, in particular for the mechanical and piping engineering disciplines; Liaise with other engineering disciplines during the preparation of engineering designs and feasibility studies; Assist in the preparation of capital cost estimates for projects and feasibility studies.

To be successful in this role you will need to be able to demonstrate significant experience in a similar working environment with the ability to work under pressure in a complex environment., an absolute commitment to Workplace Health and Safety is mandatory. You will have excellent interpersonal, organisational, written and verbal communication skills with a keen eye for detail. Exposure to the resources / mining sector and EPCM experience would also be viewed as highly desirable.

As Piping Engineer your main responsibilities will include:

As Senior Piping Engineer your main responsibilities will include:


Provide technical assistance to piping personnel as required Ensure as far as practically possible all assigned work is carried out in compliance with agreed budget and schedule Be conversant and knowledgeable with respect to current and new legislation and standards e.g., BS, API and client codes and standards, DCR and HS&E Regulations and EU Directives Prepare engineering and construction scope for both man-hours and equipment estimates and assist in the review of proposed schedules Ensure that results of any development work are fully utilised in piping activities Provide technical assistance to other disciplines as required Providing documentation and drawing deliverables for inclusion in work-packs and design books on time to meet offshore deadlines Producing cost effective designs that are fit for purpose and safe Participate as necessary in discussions with clients and visit job sites as required

Preferred chartered engineer status Qualifications such as a mechanical degree or HND or HNC A career progression from skilled mechanical trades or designer to an engineer position, which must be demonstrable Conversant with ASME B31.3, BS8010, BS EN 13480, ASME B16.5, API 6D, etc. Conversant with ASME VIII & BS EN 13445 Fully conversant with material and valve properties and selection techniques Conversant with engineering software including Word & Excel Current offshore medical certificate

Responsibilities and Duties: As a discipline Lead Engineer, approval of all technical decisions made by engineers allocated to their team for a particular project. Ensure that engineering is carried out in accordance with CB&I procedures and contractual requirements to the agreed budget and schedule and in compliance with the EHS requirements.

Identify and manage design changes. Continuously monitor the performance of their team in terms of working hours, and costs against the projects programme and budget. Endorsing and providing technical guidance to deviations and non-conformities from client's Technical Standards as proposed by client's Projects Engineering Support Groups in piping discipline; Monitoring services and specialised studies for the development of the projects, as required by the projects to ensure compliance with company standards for the specific discipline Ensuring constant liaison with the competent piping specialist(s) of venture agents (as appropriate) for all the technical aspects and technical benchmarking of client's engineering activities.
