Act 1: Purpose: What happens to different bulbs when wires of the circuit are disconnected at a certain point. Summary: We are to disconnect the wires to see whether or not the bulb would light up Learned: If one part of the circuit is disconnected than the entire circuit goes out. Thus therefore it does not work Act 2: Purpose: To test the objects to see if they conduct electricity Summary: To place various and different items or objects in a circuit to see if the items are conductors. Learned: Non-metallic objects don t conduct metallic objects Act 3: Purpose: What does a compass tell about a circuit and how can we apply it in our daily lives Summary: Place a compass at the bottom of a wire then see whether there is a deflection Learned: If the cells are added there is more deflection, if the battery orientation is switched then the compass deflects in the other direction Act 4: Purpose: How are the genecom and battery cells similar Summary: See how many turns one could get to match the brightness of the circuit with batteries Learned: Turning the genecom faster pumps the charges faster thus causing the bulbs to be more brighter Act 5: Purpose: How does the bulb type affect charging and discharging in a capacitor Summary: Changing the capacitor through the long bulbs and we changed them through the round bulbs Learned: The round bulb have less resistance, thus therefore it would take less time to change through the round bulb and the longer through the long bulb Act 6: Purpose: To identify the difference in blowing through different types of straws Summary: We tried blowing through a coffee straw and a soda straw Learned: We learned that the coffee straw was similar to the long bulb which had more resistance, while the round bulb was like the soda straw because it had less resistance

Act 7: Purpose: How does the number of bulbs affect the overall resistance of a circuit Summary: We were able to find out that if we added more bulbs the brightness got lower Learned: The more bulbs placed in a circuit, the dimmer the light bulbs would be. Act 8: Purpose: How does the number of bulbs affect a parallel circuit Summary: The brightness remained the same Learned: When more bulbs were added the flow rate increased and the resistance decreased Act 9: Purpose: What do pressure differences in circuits tell us about their behavior Summary: We color coded different circuit and saw how the pressure changed Learned: The more colors means that the pressure is lower, therefore the circuit won t be as bright
