I.Abstract Exercise is necessary to everyone for them to be physically fit and do t heir daily activities efficiently.

For students, there is Physical Education as their way of relaxation for a time to balance their academic studies and other stressors. For working people, it relieves stress and anxieties. And for seasone d, it prevents musculo-skeletal ailments. But nowadays, exercise seems not present in our routine, we drive cars a nd take elevators in going office or school. We just sit infront of computers or television and spent most of our hours on it. We oftenly plant ourselves in bed during our free day, letting the time goes by. These are not healthy. The WHO said that current levels of physical inactivity are partly due to i nsufficient participation in physical activity during leisure time and an increa se in sedentary behavior during occupational and domestic activities. Likewise, an increase in the use of "passive" modes of transport has also been associated with declining physical activity levels. Due to alarming news that 6% of non-communicable diseases (NCDs) like cardiova scular diseases, diabetes mellitus, chronic respiratory diseases, and cancers ca use an estimated 35 million deaths each year. And in the Philippines, these are the top killers that we could get in being physically inactive but can be preven ted by having an exercise and by eliminating shared risk factors like unhealthy diet, and harmful use of alcohol. Surveys in 2003 to 2008 by the Food and Nutrition Research Institute (FN RI) National Nutrition and Health showed that almost the entire adult population has low levels of physical activity in all areas namely: occupation, leisure, a nd transportation. To promote Physical Activity, the Department of Health (DOH) conducted sports activities, dubbed Ehersisyo Pangkalusugan Para sa Lahat 2011 , to encourage ev ryone to exercise. The event held last May 15, at the Quezon City Memorial Circl e (QCMC) from 5:30am to 10:00am. President Benigno S. Aquino spearheaded the act ivity. II. Insights As a student nurse, I should know how important exercise is. Because in future years, I will be encountering patients in my duties whose problem is rela ted to insufficient knowledge or awareness about the importance of physical acti vities. This would help me to raise the level of health of citizenry thru health teachings. By health teachings whereas the focus is the importance of Exercise, I could help them to prevent disease by telling that exercise strengthens immune s ystem, reduces blood pressure in the body, and reduces the risk of diabetes, can cer and other diseases. By this, I'm not just helping them to prevent disease bu t also helping them to improve their health. Also, I will tell to them that exercise improves mood. This will help th em to improve their work everyday. It lessens the stress of problems, increases the ability to solve problems and prolongs life. Good moods makes a person be mo tivated. As I encourage them to do physical activities, I will also encourage the m to have healthy lifestyle like going for a healthy diet, taking proper sleep, organizing your activities and taking time-outs to relax. III.Conclusion/ Recommendation As we can see, most of the people are so busy for a specific reason. The thing that matters most for them is making their lives better which is the pro blem of majority . Students go to school for their future, Parents work for thei r children, People work for money to survive a day. Unfortunately, some cannot a fford to do it so, hence, the severity of problem occurs wherein they double the ir time to achieve progress. As they double their time to their work, the more time they get stressed and the less time they get relaxed. If this will happen , people is more risky of acquiring disease. There should be more promotional activities of a healthy lifestyle from

the Government and all are required to participate. Thru this, people will be mo re knowledgeable about the risk of being physicall inactive. Making 2-3x a week exercise as a mandatory that it should be pratice by government offices, local government units, non-government organizations, govern ment and privately owned hospitals, medical professionals, schools and private i ndividuals. Health workers have always to remind people to exercise regularly accomp anied with balanced diet.
