Problem statement:

Analyzing the standing of sify technologies in Internet Industry of Ahmedabad city and develop a proposed plan to enter new sector of SMEs as well as other sectors including corporate world.

Objectives:
To study the perception of customers using internet towards various Internet Service Providers To study customer usage in accordance with change in rates of services offered by provider To study the factors influencing the choice of internet service provider To know the marketing strategies used by company to attract new customer To study various competitive scenario for various Internet Service Providers To study the various levels of customers preference towards those Internet Service Providers To know the marketing efforts made by company to increase the weekly or seasonal sale To study the reasons of non-recognition of Sify technologies in market To suggest the various course of actions for capturing more market share To study the Internet market of Ahmedabad city, on whole

Scope of the study:


This study focuses on internet industry of Ahmedabad city, the various players existing and the preference of customers towards cost and satisfaction factors provided by these Internet Service Providers.

Hypothesis:
Hypothesis is used to test the validity of the assumption. First of all the assumption is made about the population parameter. Then sample data is collected, sample statistics is produced and based on this information, it is decided how likely it is that the hypothesized population parameter is correct. In short, the difference between the hypothesized value and the actual value of the sample mean is determined and validity of the assumption is tested.

I have taken sampling of those individuals who are presently using internet service.

This sampling consists of cybercafs as well as other sectors like SMEs, logistics etc. There was also problem of time, cost constraints as well as lack of positive response. There are chances of biased responses due to some lack of information.

Expected contribution of the study and beneficiaries: We as a student of management would be the most benefited. As this

study will help us to gain in depth and live knowledge and insight in to the subject matter in a more realistic manner.

The organization which showed interest to help us carry out this

project would also be benefited with the same with our suggestions and recommendations.

The college would also benefit from the project report, as this would

help the college to build the reputation and long term relationships within the corporate world.

Limitations:
The study is limited by the time constraints as well as lack of knowledge of understanding customers descriptive responses.

Though carefully and responsibly these are been tried to minimized, it may still exist because of lack of experience and time constraints.
