VERSATILE BIOENERGY SOLUTION

30 YEARS' EXPERIENCE IN HEATING THE WORLD!

With 30 years' experience and a particular focus on research, we are leading the development of both current and future bioenergy solutions. Through listening to our customers and tailoring our development and production accordingly, we can remain market leaders by offering new and innovative solutions.
Our primary markets are in Europe, with Sweden as our home market, and in North America. Having our development centre in Boden means that we benefit from the arctic climate, which provides the ideal conditions for creating long-term bioenergy solutions, serving either homes and premises or heating plants for industrial applications. We offer complete solutions including planning, commissioning and problem-free heat production. Our project control and support network is in place for as long as the system is in operation. This means that the customer benefits from a supplier with responsibility for the whole installation simply and securely. Business concept Our business concept is to fulfil customers' needs by designing, supplying and optimising cost-effective energy solutions with the focus on sound, environmentally conscious values.

ENVIRONMENT AND ECONOMY PERFECTLY CO-ORDINATED

The current global trend is for a change in the way we use energy resources. Fossil fuels will eventually be replaced by renewable alternatives. SWEBO Bioenergy's solutions are among these alternatives.
We are constantly developing new and innovative energy solutions to minimise the effect on the already highly-stressed environment. Bioenergy is one of the most environmentally friendly energy alternatives, and is classed as carbon dioxide-neutral, which means that it does not contribute to the greenhouse effect. Electricity and fossil fuel prices are rising due to the current consumption of fossil fuels, tied to the demands and trends of the electricity market. With bioenergy solutions, the producer has much greater control over the cost per kilowatt-hour. We believe that these projections, together with short depreciation periods for investments and a healthier environment make bioenergy solutions the obvious choice, both in terms of new construction projects and boiler replacements for all types of heating plants. Customers choosing SWEBO Bioenergy as their supplier are guaranteed a smooth operation from planning to installation. Once the installation has been commissioned and tuned, SWEBO's service and support teams will ensure that customers benefit from 30 years of experience in problem-free operation and high-quality customer care. OUR VERSATILITY OPTIMISING YOUR HEATING SYSTEM

SWEBO Bioenergy's versatility regarding heating plants and installations in existing boiler rooms guarantees an optimised heating system tailored to your own requirements.
Based on existing environments and requirements, we can plan customer-specific solutions right from a project's quotation stage. This includes everything from the choice of fuel and appropriate storage to the colour and shape of the heating plant. Our planning department will present the proposed solutions using 3D designs to help you make the right decision. At SWEBO Bioenergy, we offer a comprehensive heating installation supply service. This means we supply everything required for the installation. We guarantee that all components, e.g. chimneys, culverts, boiler, burner and fire protection material, are not only of the best quality available on the market, but that together they will create a problem-free, optimised heating installation.

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT IN THE REAL WORLD

SWEBO Bioenergy began producing biofuel boilers (using chips) in the early 1970s. Since then, there have been many developments both in the energy market and on the product side.
At our development department in Boden, Norrbotten, we carry out ongoing research projects with the focus on innovation and improving efficiency to ensure optimised bioenergy production. Projects are often run in co-operation with Lule University of Technology or peak competence companies close to the university. Academic co-operation means we will always have high-quality documentation and excellent facilities for testing and simulation. Among our developments during the last year have been the marketleading FBS and FBR control systems and the unrivalled and highly versatile BioTherm bio-burner. Control system The FBS and FBR control systems monitor and control the entire combustion process according to actual requirements, using a large number of sensors and detectors. Monitoring, control and fault signalling can take place over the Internet or via a control cabinet, which is a clear advantage compared to manual monitoring and control. It also means there is a simple procedure in the event of problems or queries, allowing SWEBO's support staff to monitor, guide and control the installation in conjunction with the operator. This guarantees trouble-free management even in the event of operating problems.

HEATING USING CHIPS Chips are made of finely crushed wood. Less valuable tree parts, wood and trees of the wrong size to serve as saw timber are used as raw material.
Since the 1990s, it has become more and more common to conserve harvesting residue such as chips when felling. Chips are used as raw material in the energy and paper industries. They are used as raw material for energy in both large heating plants and small-scale heating installations. Because chips have relatively high space requirements, consideration needs to be given to the design of storage modules and boiler feeding systems. Modern chip-burning installations must be able to burn chips with a high moisture content with satisfactory results. Chips are one of the cheapest heating fuels that do require space, but they are cheap to manufacture. Our chip-burning installations are available across a 65 kW to 4 MW power range, and can burn chips with a moisture content of up to 40% without affecting the installation's rated output. We have over 30 years' experience in planning, manufacturing and supplying chip-fired heating systems. This means we can guarantee you an installation that is as maintenance efficient as a pellet-fired installation. Storage systems are available from 800 litres to 200 m, in fixed versions and transporter versions, which the chip supplier collects for filling while an intermediate store ensures the chip supply for the installation.

HEATING USING PELLETS Pellets are a tightly compressed fuel created using various by-products from the forestry and wood processing industries.
Pellets are manufactured by drying sawdust or planer shavings, which are then ground in a mill to produce a finer product. The ground material is then compressed under very high pressure and at a high temperature to form pellets. Pellets have a low moisture content and a high energy content compared to refined biofuels. This makes them more costeffective to transport and easier to use as fuel. We supply pellet-fired installations from 50 kW to 4 MW. The size of the pellet silo is calculated on the basis of the heating requirements and the conditions in the immediate vicinity. We supply silos from 5 m to 185 m in horizontal and upright versions. When supplying a prefabricated heating plant, a built-in horizontal silo can be used if a round upright silo cannot be placed in the immediate vicinity. The examples in the image on the right are customer-tailored prefabricated heating plants with built-in and free-standing silos.

BIOTHERM
The SWEBO BioTherm is not designed solely for burning horse manure; it can be easily adapted to burn other fuels such as chips, sod peat, briquettes, pellets and grain, among others.
The SWEBO BioTherm is a new innovation that is about to revolutionise the entire horse industry by reducing costs and shortening depreciation periods, while bringing significant environmental benefits. The fact is that costs are reduced simultaneously in 3 budgetary areas when a SWEBO BioTherm is installed for heating with horse manure. In addition to reduced energy costs, transport and disposal costs for horse manure can also be avoided. The system can also be easily adapted to burn fuels other than horse manure, such as chips, sod peat, briquettes, pellets, grain and offal. It is therefore also ideal for slaughterhouse owners, animal breeders and those working in the forestry industry. The SWEBO BioTherm's adaptability to a wide variety of extreme fuels means you can be highly flexible in your choice of fuel. This can be important bearing in mind energy market price projections. The SWEBO BioTherm is available in versions form 30 kW to 1000 kW. We supply them both for fixed boiler rooms and as turnkey prefabricated heating plants.

Our burner can be used to burn ordinary biofuel with a moisture content of 61%.
