Graham welcomed and thanked everyone for turning up and conveyed special thanks Michele Fong for hosting the last Taylor meeting at her residence. r

The following were discussed for the function: Points Date Venue Discussion Sat 13 August 2011 Graham clarified the following matters: Poolside hire ($110.00) from 9am-4pm Half hall hire ($220.00) from 10am-12am No. Of people: 200 The additional costing: 1. 4 x extra security @ $30 each- $120.00 2. 2 x Staff @$30.00 each- $60.00 Action Graham suggested that the extra $180 needed to be financed from the donations received. This was accepted by all. Graham to clear payments earlier this week Decorations: Cherie and Aunty Vasiti volunteered to organise the decorations. Also to remind Donna about the decorations. Graham to follow up on this.

Programme

Identification of families (colour vata)

Aunty Vasiti requested if Marques can be put up at Fiji club for the children Charles provided the following draft: 12 midday arrival of all with potluck 2pm : - MC welcome/ Thanksgiving Prayer by Uncle Archibald Taylor/ President: Graham to set out Days Objectives. 2.30pm: - Blessings of food- Uncle Archibald and then introduction of family lineage. - Meet and Mingle 6pm: Closing remarks by President. Colour coding was suggested whereby each of the 13 families are distinguished by their fabric/colour; not compulsory though. Name tags also suggested

All to seat according to their colour arrangements/ own immediate family (brothers and sisters) at first.

Tapa to provide name tags on arrival Uncle Archibald suggested bring Banners with his/her name on it; and for photo session. Aunty Vasiti suggested if we

could find out Family Kilt colour (Scottish descends). Sound System/ Music Point of contact: Contributions Timothy Ulacake organising a Band 3 piece band confirmed

FJD $100 from Julian Taylor for a Reunion Cake FJD $500 from Uncle Seru Taylor for Bouncy castle hire Bar collection so far: Spirits (Robert, Michele, Alfred, Graham) 2 wines ( Tapa) Grog section Graham

Cherie suggested that since no games, only bouncy castle and swimming pool for children, if donations can be used to buy childrens snacks from 10ammidday. This was agreed by all, Cherie and Michelle volunteered look after childrens munchies. Bouncy Castle money to be sent to Charles, Aunty Vasiti will send it. Set up Team: Claire, Charlotte, Robert, Maria, Timothy Michelle kindly arranging 6 food warmers and a juice dispenser. All families bring their own disposable eating utensils and garbage bags.

Each family to bring their own sun quick and ice. This to be mixed at the venue. Bouncy castle set up inside tennis courts Families indicating items: Jack Taylor, Lima Simpson, William Taylor and Aunty Tupou

Eskay of Juice and munchies to be provided from the morning. Items to be performed after lunch. Michelle to organise judges for best dressed colour vata and items.

1 case of wine from Aunty Vivian (Adults prize) 1 chocolate cake form Michelle Due to high set up costs of projectors and low interest in photos sent it was agreed that we all make print outs of photos and paste them on A4 sheets. Donna and Graham (WIP)

2013 Reunion

At present $2,000 per family.

Graham advised that we need to open a cheque account with a minimum balance of $500. At present nil balance so account yet to be set up. Fundraising will kick start for 2013 reunion. To be further discussed after August 13,2011 reunion.

Charlotte suggested we set up a proposal with cost budgets so that we all know how much we actually fundraising for. Agreed by all. President closed the meeting and requested all to disseminate the above information to other family members as soon as possible.
