Tutor Request How do I request for a tutor?

There are two ways: 1 )Go to request tutors page and fill the require information. Private Tuition will advertise your application at job list for tutor to view and apply it. Only one tutor will be selected by Private Tuition based on the criteria parent/guardian requirement (location, subject, gender, race and time). Private Tuition will contact parent to introduce our selected tutor and we will give the information of tutor via mail. 2) Parent /guardian/ student can select tutor in tutor lists page and make a shortlist tutor (up to 5 tutors). Private Tuition will contact a shortlisted tutor and will select one of them based on the subject expert, location and time available. Why parent only can select two subjects for maximum when request for tutor? It is because we want the best tutor in their subject expert for your children. Different tutor make different teaching style and different subject need a different style to teach. Teaching style in language subject is different from science or calculation (mathematic) subject. So, based on our experience, mostly tutor happy and enjoy when they teach their student on their subject expert. They can focus on it and this will affect your children learning. One tutor for one subject is better than one tutor for many subjects.

First Lesson Preparation Where will lessons be held? By default, lessons will be conducted at the students place. Otherwise, do inform to PRIVATE TUITION in advance of an alternative venue so that our tutors can be properly notified. What is Private Tuitions role in arranging the first lesson? Private Tuition will coordinate the timing and venue for the first tuition lesson only. Subsequently, you will make the arrangements should there be any changes between you and the tutor. Am I allowed to negotiate the tuition fee? Once you have accepted a tuition assignment, whether in verbal or written form, you are not allowed to re-negotiate the rates that you have agreed upon. Do I have to buy assessment books or materials for the lessons? You are required to make arrangements with your tutor with regards to teaching materials, documents and resources. Please clearly state your expectations and requirements. What are some of the things I need to do on the first lesson? You are required to check original copies of all necessary academic and professional certifications, documentations and identification (e.g. NRIC or Passport) of the tutor on the first lesson for verification. Please request for photocopies from the tutor as well. How can we be sure that your tutors are qualified?

You are strongly encouraged to verify the tutors original certificates on the first lesson. While our coordinators conduct phone interviews with short-listed candidates and verify scanned copies of their certificates and qualifications, we seek your cooperation in ensuring a pleasant learning experience for the student/s. When will the first lesson start? Normally, the first lesson will take place within a week once all the administrative work is completed. Is there any system of lesson accountability? Please facilitate the recording of attendance at the end of every lesson. Tutors and students/parents/guardians are to sign and countersign. This is to prevent any form of misunderstanding between all parties. Does PRIVATE TUITION guarantee improvement and results for my child? We do not guarantee 100% improvement for your child as there are many variable factors involved in teaching-learning that are beyond Private Tuitions control. However, we want you to be satisfied customers and we work towards the improvement of your child by matching and providing you the most suitable tutor according to your requirements.

Tuition Fee/Payment Matters What is the arrangement with regards to tuition fees? For the first month, the tuition fee received will be divided equally (e.g. 50%) between the tutor and Private Tuition. Subsequently, the tutor will collect the full amount from you. Transactions will be in Ringgit Malaysia (RM) only. Within a week after the first lesson has commenced, we will send you an invoice with payment details to be made to Private Tuition. The agency commission will be due upon the end of the second week, based on a 4-week month, and not calendar month. 2nd lesson for once-a-week assignments 4th lesson for twice-a-week assignments 6th lesson for thrice-a-week assignments Parents/guardians/requestors are not advised to pay the agency commission directly to the tutor. Do I have to pay for your services? The services that Private Tuition provides to parents/guardians/requestors (e.g. sourcing for tutors) are free-of-charge. There are no additional fees imposed. How do I make payment to Private Tuition? The fees are to be paid to Private Tuition by cheque/funds transfer in full. We do not accept installments of any kind.

Replacement of Tutor Can I ask for a replacement of tutor after tuition has commenced? Yes. After the first lesson, you are allowed to request for a replacement of tutor. At the end of the lesson, we will gather your feedback. If you find the tutor unsuitable for any reason, we will assist you in making a swop. There is no requirement for you to fulfill a minimum number of lessons. You will only be charged for the number of lessons taught. What do I do if I wish to change the tutor after the first lesson? Within the first month of tuition, should you require a replacement of tutor for any reason, we will collect the tuition fee for completed lessons and reimburse the tutor at our discretion. We also require you to provide us with details on why you find the previous tutor unsatisfactory. Do take note that while Private Tuition will try its best to cater to your preferences, the replacement of tutors may not be immediate as we need time to source for substitute tutors. Do I have to pay for a replacement? No. Replacement of tutors is free of charge. Termination of Service What if my child is unable to attend the first lesson? For any reason, if your child/ward/student is unable to attend the first lesson arranged for you by Private Tuition, you are to call up the PRIVATE TUITION at least 3 days or 72 hours before the actual lesson.

When can I withdraw my tutor request? The client reserves the right to cancel or withdraw his/her tuition requests or assignment at any time. How will I be compensated if the tutor backs out? Private Tuition will not be liable for any payment charges or issues arising from the cancellation of tuition assignments by the tutor.

How early do I have to let you know if I decide to stop hiring the tutor? You are to inform us at least 1 week in advance before you decided to stop engaging the tutors services so that there will be sufficient time for the agency to source a replacement tutor to take over.
