Masturbation

In nature, we find that all living creatures capable of reproduction do masturbate. It is a quick, easy, safe and neutral method of sexual gratification that is in practice since God created the animal kingdom. Among the world's religions, views on masturbation vary widely. Some religions view it as a spiritually detrimental practice, some see it as not spiritually detrimental and others take a situational view. Among these latter religions, some view masturbation as allowable if used as a means towards sexual self-control, or as part of healthy self-exploration, but disallow it if it is done with wrong motives or as an addiction.

Masturbation is forbidden in the Qur'an and in the Sunni Sahih Hadith. It is frowned upon by some scholars, who maintain that it should only be done if one fears of committing illicit sex (fornication or adultery); even then alternatives such as getting married or fasting are preferred, as suggested in hadith. Istimna Scholars of Islam do not generally approve of masturbation, except in extenuating circumstances. There is a statement in Quran "And those who guard their chastity, Except from their wives for then, they are free from blame; But whoever seeks beyond that, then those are transgressors." (23:5-7) In Islam, sexual engagement outside of marriage is a major sin, which causes the doer to be punished in this life and in the afterlife (Qiyama). Yet if one's desire is so overwhelming one might perform a greater wrong by having sex outside marriage, masturbation becomes permissible as a necessity but in that case it will be like eating the flesh of a pig to survive from major hunger or starvation when no other food is available. So Quran says "And those who are not married should try to live in chastity, until God enriches them with His Grace" (Qur'an, 24:33) Masturbation, like any form of sex in which seminal or vaginal fluids have been released, breaks one's fast if performed during the daylight hours and requires a major ablution if any seminal or vaginal fluids were released.

According to Sheikh Hamed Al-Ali: "Masturbation during the daytime of Ramadan breaks the fast, based on the Hadith that a fasting Muslim gives up eating, drinking, and sexual desire for the sake of Allah. Since masturbation is a kind of sexual desire, a fasting Muslim must avoid it. Therefore, masturbation invalidates the fast as does food and as it is one of the sins that if someone does it he or she would be violating the sanctity of this month." Shi'a view Masturbation is forbidden altogether in the Shi'a sect. The Qur'an says, "The believers are... those who protect their sexual organs except from their spouses... Therefore, whosoever seeks more beyond that [in sexual gratification], then they are the transgressors." (23:5-6) Sunni view The four Sunni schools of jurisprudence (known as Madhaahib - the Hanafi, Shafi'i, Maliki and Hanbali schools of Fiqh) have differing stances on the issue. Some see it forbidden in certain cases (i.e. if it leads a man/woman to ignore their spouse sexually) but recommended it when they see it as a lesser evil to illicit sex. It is generally prohibited according to the Hanafi and Hanbali Mazhabs, unless one fears adultery or fornication, or is under the desire pressure, in which case, it is permissible to seek a relief through masturbation. It is prohibited all the time according to the Maliki and Shafi`i Mazhab.

Hafiz ibn Katheer writes Imaam Shaaf and those who have agreed with him have concluded that masturbation is Haraam from this Aayat.' He : 'Masturbation is excluded from these two types which Allah has made Halaal, viz. wives and slave-girls.

Similarly, these Fuqahaa (Jurists) have drawn their conclusion from the following phrase 'And those who do not find the means to marry should remain chaste until Allah gives them resources by His grace.'

This phrase shows masturbation to be Haraam because of two reasons: Firstly, in this phrase Allah has given the command of chastity and, Fiqh according to the principles of, a command denotes compulsory. For example, adultery, fornication, and sodomy. This is due to the fact that obligatory chastity will not materialise except by complete refrainment from all that which is contrary to chastity.

Secondly: in this phrase, Allah has made chastity obligatory on those who are unable to execute the command of Nikah. Here Allah has not determined any connection or link between marriage and chastity. Hence, this demands that masturbation should be Haraam. And if assuming, it was permissible, then Allah would have mentioned it at this point because this was the place of explanation. The silence maintaned by Allah with regard to it at a place which requires its explanation, denotes that masturbation is Haraam.

PROOFS FROM HAADITH Similarly, the Fuqahaa have drawn their conclusion from a Hadith reported by Abdullah bin Masd in Bukhari and Muslim. He reports that Rasulullah said, 'O group of youth! Whoever from among you can marry should do so because it keeps the gaze low and it protects the private parts. And he who cannot marry should make it compulsory upon himself to fast because it breaks lust.' Nabi (Sallallaahu ayhi Wasallam) directed the person who is incapable of bearing the burden on Nikah towards fasting. If assuming, masturbation was permissible, Nabi (Sallallaahu ayhi Wasallam) would have mentioned it at this point. However maintained silence. Hence, this indicates that masturbation is Haraam because silence at the place of explanation gives the benefit of restriction

As for curing the habit of masturbation, we recommend the following suggestions: 1) The motive to seek a cure for this problem should be solely following Allah's orders and fearing His punishment. 2) A permanent and quick cure from this problem lies in marriage as soon as the person is able, as shown in the Prophet's Hadeeth. 3) Keeping oneself busy with what is good for this world and the hereafter is essential in breaking this habit before it becomes second nature after which it is very difficult to rid oneself of it. 4) Lowering the gaze (from looking at forbidden things such as pictures, movies etc.) will help suppress the desire before it leads one to commit the haraam (forbidden). Allah orders

men and women to lower their gaze as shown in the following two verses and in the Prophet's hadeeth. "Tell the believing men to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things) and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts, etc.). That is purer for them. Verily, Allah is allaware of what they do. And tell the believing women to lower their gaze (from looking at forbidden things) and protect their private parts (from illegal sexual acts, etc.)... " 24.30-31 Allah's messenger said: "Do not follow a casual (unintentional) look (at forbidden things) with another look." Al-Tirmidhi 2777. This is a general instruction by the Prophet to abstain from all that may sexually excite a person because it might lead him/her to commit the haraam (forbidden) act. 5) Using one's available leisure time in worshipping Allah and increasing religious knowledge. 6) Being cautious not to develop any of the medical symptoms that may result from masturbation such as weak eyesight, weak nervous system, and/or back pain. More importantly, feeling of guilt and anxiety that can be complicated by missing obligatory prayers because of the need to shower (ghusl) after every incidence of masturbation. 7) Avoiding the illusion that some youth have that masturbation is permissible because it prevents them from committing illegal sexual acts such as fornication or even homosexuality. 8) Strengthening one's willpower and avoiding spending time alone as recommended by the Prophet when he said "Do not spend the night alone". 9) Following the Prophet's aforementioned hadeeth and fast when possible because fasting will temper one's sexual desire and keep it under control. However, one should not overreact and swear by Allah not to return to the act because if one does not honour one's promise, one would be facing the consequences of not living up to one's oath to Allah. Also, note that medication to diminish one's sexual desire is strictly prohibited because it might permanently affect one's sexual ability.

10) Trying to follow the Prophet's recommendation concerning the etiquette of getting ready for bed, such as reading well-known supplications, sleeping on the right side, and avoiding sleeping on the belly. 11) Striving hard to be patient and chaste, because persistence will eventually, Allah willing, lead to attaining those qualities as second nature, as the Prophet explains in the following hadeeth: "Whoever seeks chastity Allah will make him chaste, and whoever seeks help from none but Allah, He will help him, and whoever is patient He will make it easy for him, and no one has ever been given anything better than patience." Bukhari:1469. 12) Repenting, asking forgiveness from Allah, doing good deeds, and not losing hope and feeling despair are all prerequisites to curing this problem. Note that losing hope is one of the major sins punishable by Allah. 13) Finally, Allah is the Most Merciful and He always responds to whoever calls on Him. So, asking for Allah's forgiveness will be accepted, by His will.

Group Sex
How can one marry four? It is possible for a man to marry not four wives at the same time but one by one. The Islamic law allows the man to marry a maximum of four wives. A man has his own intentions and it may be to ease his struggles. In Islam before the man marries a second wife he needs to inform that women that he has a first wife who he is already married with to ensure there is no disputes between wives. One can't marry more than one if his wife didn't allow. Going out with all of them is permissible. They all can live under one house but not in one room, preferred if separated kitchens.4 wives are only allowed if it is sure that one can create equality and justice among them in every manner. If one is sure that he can do it then it is allowed to marry more than 1 wife. If not then only one wife is allowed. Its not for pleasure or sex, it is a license to be used only under certain circumstances. Man has to get permission first from his first wife before having the second. They can live all under one roof but no group sex is allowed.

Pedophilia
Pedophilia is the paraphilia of being sexually attracted primarily or exclusively to prepubescent children. A person with this attraction is called a pedophile. marrying a girl before she matures is forbidden in Islam. it was initially allowed and later this provision was abrogated. the following hadith as evidence. "Volume 7, Book 62, and Number 67: Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "A matron should not be given in marriage except after consulting her; and a virgin should not be given in marriage except after her permission." It was always argued that the Prophet married Aisha when she was very young before the revelation, but was this opinion correct? Anyway, getting married early is already confirmed in the book of Allah, the Sunnah of his Prophet, the consensus of the scholars, the actions of the companions, and also the Muslims who came after them. Moreover, the interest of Shariah proves it. So the claim that this was abrogated is not correct. And the Hadith did not include that meaning; it just states that a virgin woman is not to be married until consulted.

Evidence from the Quran is as so :

The sayings of Allah: "And those of your women as have passed the age of monthly courses, for them the 'Iddah (prescribed period), if you have doubts (about their periods), is three months, and for those who have no courses [(i.e. they are still immature) their 'Iddah (prescribed period) is three months likewise, except in case of death]". (At-Talaq 65:4)

This means that Allah set rulings for of marriage, divorce and waiting period for the women who have not yet had menses. The Iddah (waiting period) does not take place except after marriage. As also proven from this source :
Al Baghawi said, like in Fath Al-Bari,: "There is a consensus of the scholars that it is permissible for the fathers to marry their young daughters even if they are still in the cradle, but it is not permissible for the husbands to consummate the

marriage with them, unless they become physically fit for sexual intercourse by mature males." This proves that a man is not allowed to have sexual intercourse with their younger wives until they reached a suitable age (matured), which is 15 or 16.
