We welcome you and your pets to the Alexis Park Resort Hotel! We are happy that you have chosen to stay with us while in Las Vegas. Please assist us in providing for a safe and secure environment for all our guests. Please read and acknowledge the following common sense pet friendly policy restrictions: A one time, non-refundable $50.00 cleaning fee will be added to your room account. Pets may not be left unattended in your suite. Our housekeepers will not provide daily service, where a pet is left unsupervised. While outside of your suite, all pets must be carried, caged or restrained on a leash. Please do not loiter in any public building area (Lobby, Conference Center) where other guests might experience allergies to certain pets. Pets are not permitted in the restaurant, bar, or other areas where food is served (Animal Assists are excluded from this restriction). Pet owners will be held responsible for any disturbance occurring while the pet is on property. No barking, or off-leash activity is permitted. Please clean up after your pet. We have established Pooper Bag Stations around the 28 & 29 Buildings where improved grass spaces are available for your pets. Pets should not be left unattended in vehicles. It is a Law in the State of Nevada. A hot summer day in Las Vegas may result in serious injury or death to the pet. Pet Parents will be held responsible for any damage caused by the pet to the suite or other property of the Alexis Park Resort. DOG ENTRANCE TO SUPERZOO & DOGGIE SPA

At the Mandalay Bay Convention Center
Location: Mandalay Bay Convention Center, Bayside 3950 Las Vegas Blvd., South Las Vegas, NV 89119 Time: 3:00 AM. Spa area & bathing opens at 3:00 am on first come bases. You may enter any time after 3:00 am on the day of your competition. You must bring your own towels. Hall D on the East side at the right of 1E entrance will be the only entrance that will allow you to come into the convention hall with your dogs. (See Attachments) If you attempt to enter at any other entrance, the guard will direct you to the correct entrance. Please save yourself some time and walking by making sure you understand where the appropriate entrance is. You will enter the parking lot from Russell Road where you will park in the East or SE parking area. This area is barricaded off, but it is okay to park there.(See Attachments) You may enter Hall D on the East side to the right of the 1E entrance. This entrance will be marked with a sign. If you are arriving early in the morning, you may park and walk your dog inside. If you are arriving later in the day when there is more traffic, for safety sake, you may want to temporarily leave your car outside the entrance, bring your dog inside and then park your car. You must stay within the dog bathing area! You will not be allowed to wander onto the show floor until the show is open at 10:00 A.M.

Tables will be available for sale during the show and may be picked up immediately following close of SuperZoo. BEST FIRST TIME COMPETITOR

Eligibility This competition is open to anyone who has never competed, who is entered in an Entry Level Competition and has indicated on their original competitor entry form that they have never competed in a GroomTeam (GT) Sanctioned contest. Judging The entry level Judge will choose the best first time competitor from each regular class competition. Each competitor chosen must return to the show ring 30 minutes prior to the Best in Show awards. At that time the Judge will then choose the winner of the Best First Time Competitor award. Awards The winner will receive an Oster Professional Groomer Starter Kit, valued at $959. All first time competitors will receive an Oster SuperSteel Scissor, valued at over $100.

CREATIVE STYLING COMPETITION

Sponsored by: Bayer HealthCare Animal Health
The Creative Contest is an exhibition of colorfully staged, uniquely presented and exquisitely groomed dogs using props and music for the presentation. All entries in this class must be completely groomed and finished before pre-judging begins. Any purebred or mixed breed dog can be used. Competitors will be allowed to setup in designated 5x5 areas and add props before Final Judging. This contest is open to 30 participants. Exhibits exceeding 5x5 will be disqualified. Electrical outlets will be limited to one per entry. Winners will be determined by: (1) originality and creativity of the design and theme; (2) quality of styling techniques; and, (3) quality and harmony of the final presentation (props and decorations). Competitors may title their designs. Competitors may color their dogs, using only non-toxic products, prior to arrival on site. Music may also be used in presentation to Judge(s) but is the sole responsibility of the Competitor. DVD presentations are not allowed. Awards 1st Place - $2,000.00 2nd Place - $1,500.00 3rd Place - $1,000.00 4th Place - $500.00 5th Place - $500.00 6th Place - $500.00

RESCUE RODEO COMPETITION

The intention of this class is to recognize the groomers ability to take whatever grooming job comes their way. To create a clean, well groomed dog, using rescue dogs from shelters. The groomer will use his or her grooming expertise while handling these dogs with compassion. The top 3 placements will not only win a cash prize but the supplied dogs rescue organization will also take home a cash donation. Class Eligibility Open to groomers who can handle dogs that may not be 100% cooperative and will not be in very good condition. He or she must be willing to show their skill in every aspect of the grooming process. This contest is open to 40 participants.

You will draw a number for a dog from rescue groups. Each will have been evaluated to determine if the dog is suitable for the competition environment. You may receive pure bred or mixed breed dogs. The dogs entire grooming process will be completed in the ring and spa area. Competition Time Frame- Rescue Rodeo All dogs will be permitted 3 hours. In this time you will do all prep work, bath, dry and groom in designated areas. You will be given staggered bathing times. Order of the bathing time will be determined by Ring Steward. Judges will consider styling to suit the dogs conformation, coat type and degree of difficulty. While others are in the spa area it is suggested you do as much preparation and grooming as possible prior to the bathing process. Judging Considerations The judges will evaluate the following: Styled to suit the dogs conformation Grooming techniques that ensure the best outcome for the dogs coat type and starting condition Overall technical finish Handling of animals Degree of difficulty Change in overall appearance from start to finish Awards The judges will choose First, Second and a Third placements. 1st Place groomer will receive $1,200.00 in cash plus $1,200.00 will be donated to your rescue dogs organization. 2nd Place groomer will receive $1,000.00 in cash plus $1,000.00 will be donated to your rescue dogs organization. 3rd Place groomer will receive $750.00 in cash plus $750.00 will be donated to your rescue dogs organization.

GROOMER SUPER JACKPOT RULES AND INFORMATION

Competitors Entries will be determined in the order they are received up to a total of 40 competitors. All Entries will be competing at the open level. Entries Competitors may compete with any pure-breed dog. For best results and that competitive edge, competitors should bring their own dogs. If you cannot bring your own dog because your country imposes quarantine, you may want to find a suitable dog from the list of dog suppliers in this addendum. Contact them at your earliest convenience to secure your competition dogs. Coat Length Qualifications- Groomer Super Jackpot It is recognized that some coats grow more quickly than others. Therefore, for contest purposes, the hair must be of sufficient length to allow the competitor to make a distinct change in the dogs appearance. Rotated coats on hand-stripped dogs are acceptable; however there must be a distinct change in the dogs appearance.

Preparation Requirements Competition dogs must be prepped and ready for the judges inspection prior to check-in procedures. Dogs should be combed, brushed and free of tangles, freshly shampooed and dried. Ears should be clean, toenails clipped, and hair between the pads trimmed, if applicable, according to breed standards. As a rule, terriers that are being handstripped are not freshly bathed, since wetting softens the hair and causes it to blow. Chalk may be used as a cleaning agent, providing that all traces of it are removed from the coat before the judges begin their final deliberations. Sanitary trimming, the genital and stomach areas, should also be pretrimmed, if applicable, according to breed standards. All other trimming shall be done only after the competition starts. All grooming techniques clipping, snap-on combs, scissoring, thinning, handstripping, plucking and carding are permitted. Singeing of the coat (using a flame device to remove the tips of the hair) is not permitted in the competition ring, prep area, or bathing and drying area. Any pet or show trim is permitted for Poodles. Tied-up topknots are allowed and the contestant must create the tie-up during the competition. Decorative objects, color sprays or glitter are not permitted. Regular hair sprays are allowed; however, aside from a tied-up sprayed topknot and finished heads, i.e. West Highland White Terrier, the judges must be able to comb through the coat. Time Limit- Groomer Super Jackpot The competition will start promptly on Thursday morning September 15, 2011. Contest competitors and dogs must check-in promptly at 10:00 AM, and then set up; pre-judging will begin at 10:30 AM. Start time 11:00 AM. No extra time will be allowed nor will the contest be held up for late arrivals. All competitors have a two hour time limit. Grooming Equipment Grooming tables and grooming arms will be furnished to contestants. Contestants must supply their own grooming equipment. Warnings The judges will give a warning for the following violations. A second warning will result in disqualification. Professional and Technical Warnings: Inappropriate attire. Inappropriate language and attitude. Handling Warnings: Dog left unattended on grooming table. Dog jumping or falling off grooming table. Rough handling of dog. Safety loop adjusted too high. Lifting of dog by tail strictly prohibited.

Skin abrasions such as clipper burns, nicks or cuts. Handstripping or plucking in a non-compassionate manner. Use of cell phones or radios and headsets. Smoking in competition ring. Standing on grooming tables. Standing on chairs to groom or style. Beverages not in spill-proof containers. Coaching by anyone, at any time, during competition.

The judges will be permitted to confer during the competition, as well as at the end of the time limit during their deliberations. They will narrow the competition down to a group of 20, then announce the placements 5 to 10 and then select fourth, third and second place and the Groomers Super Jackpot Champion. The judges decisions will be final and binding. Awards The Groomer Super Jackpot Champion will win $10,000.00, a trophy and a large championship rosette. 2nd Place - $5,000.00 3rd Place - $2,000.00 4th Place - $1,000.00 5th-6th Place - $500.00 7th 10th Place - $250.00
