FIRSTSOURCE SOLUTIONS launches HELMET AWARENESS CAMPAIGN at TRICHY

Trichy, July 18, 2008: Firstsource Solutions Ltd, the global BPO company with operations in Trichy, initiated a helmet awareness campaign in the city today. The campaign was flagged off by the State Transport Minister, Mr. K N Nehru from Trichy collectorate. The District Collector Mr. T. Soundaiah and the Mayor of Trichy Mrs. Charubala Thondaimaan were also present at the event.

Sixty Firstsource employees from the Trichy center rode motorbikes, in columns of two, wearing helmets. The employees rode the six kilometer distance from the Collectorate to Firstsources Trichy center on Madurai Road to spread awareness on the importance of wearing a helmet for personal protection.

The Tamil Nadu Government recently made it mandatory for motorcycle riders in the state to wear helmets while riding. The agencies have been enforcing this strictly and imposing fines on offenders in the state. Firstsource Solutions took it up on themselves to lend a helping hand with this helmet awareness campaign.

Speaking at the flag off, Mr. Narayanan. V Center Head, Trichy, Firstsource Solutions said, We believe that every responsible citizen should abide by this rule. As a corporate investing in Trichy, we wanted to do our bit to spread this message of responsible riding.
